How about traffic circles? Oh my lordt! I. Can't. Even.

Stay away from Boston then. Stay far away. The circles are bad enough but some of the streets off the circles are unmarked and look like alleyways. The good thing in Boston is there is a Dunkin Donuts on every corner and LE is usually there to give directions.

The other day I was on 75 when some idiot decided they wanted to exit at the last second. But they weren’t in the right lane. So the fucking dumbass almost came to a complete stop to wait for the right lane to clear so they could exit.

I also hate when I’m going 70 and some jack wagon going 55 pulls into my lane and won’t speed up. So I have to slam on my breaks.

Or how about the person who can’t decide how fast to drive? If I’m on a long drive I use my cruise control to stay at a constant speed. I’ll pass someone, then a little while later they will pass me, pull over in front of me and slow down so I have to go around them again!

I was on 635 an hour ago and a guy in a beat up jalopy was on the right lane going about 30 mph while everyone else is flying by him at 65-75 mph.

Good way to get himself or get someone else killed.

Someone coming up behind him at 75 mph from a mile back will be on top of him before they realize he is traveling way below the speed they are traveling.

God forbid it's an 18 wheeler coming up behind him and it needs 3 times the distance to brake and slow down to avoid rear ending him.

Idiot shouldn't had been on there going so slow and he didn't even have his hazard lights on.

I think diesel driving academy is doing a poor job with this students. I would flunk them all and have them all get recertify.

A sideswipe 20 miles outside of Boston led to a crazy road rage incident that didn’t end until someone pulled out a gun. After a minor traffic accident, there was lots of arguing and 37-year-old Mark Fitzgerald apparently had enough. He tried to drive away but that’s when Richard Kamrowski, 65, jumped onto the hood of the white SUV. Fitzgerald then seemed to think the best thing to do was just to keep driving with the 65-year-old hanging onto his hood.

Fitzgerald drove “a very significant distance,” as police put it, at speeds as high as 70 miles per hour. Fitzgerald managed to make it around three miles down the Massachusetts Turnpike before other drivers on the road managed to stop him. But doing so was apparently not easy as a driver had to place his car in front of Fitzgerald’s SUV and another had to point a gun in order to get him to get out of the car.

Police ended up arresting both men. Fitzgerald was charged with assault with a dangerous weapon, negligent operaton, and leaving the scene of a crash while Kamrowski was charged with disorderly conduct.

Depends on where you are. It’s legal in California. Still somewhat dangerous, but it’s very, very common in stop and go freeway traffic. If the traffic is slow enough, it can be done relatively safely.

Regarding flashing lights at a 4-way stop, I’ve seem people more often use hand signs to get thinks back in order. Saying a car through, etc. But yeah, some folks are just disorganized.

Legal in California? That’s ridiculous but not surprising. I have zero sympathy for a biker who does it and gets hurt. I will go out of my way to block their path if I see one coming

That's assault with a deadly weapon. Many (most?) bikers have helmet cams now, so it becomes a much easier conviction.

If I were you, I'd reconsider that course of action.

No it’s not. I am not driving my car at them. If I see coming up from behind I narrow the gap between me and the car next to me

You just pissed that they’re getting somewhere while you’re sitting still? It makes a great deal of sense when you’re in true stop and go traffic where Soren’s if automobiles never get over 5 or 10 miles an hour. It encourages people to ride motorcycles and get where they’re going faster, thus reducing the number of cars on the road, and the number of cars in any given traffic jam.

And on heavily congested drives — say Marin County into San Francisco, or Sonoma/Napa into the East Bay — it can save as much as half an hour or more during peak traffic.
