You can't simply look at it in terms of supply and demand because you're introducing government regulation as an externality.

The cost of doing business would increase along with legitimizing hooking.

The number 1 benefit to the customer is the quality of the product improves. I definitely stipulate a lot of people would hate that. To me the cheap, lowgrade hook is 100 times worse than going home and beating off in the comfort of my own home.

That's basically my approach to all this. I just want a quality experience. the money is secondary. I almost always ended up disappointed with the economic approach. If I had made it all about saving money I would've missed out on all my best hobby experiences.

But what's a quality experience? Everyone has their own idea on that. Some guys are happy to see some young cheap troubled spinner in a filthy incall. Not my idea of quality but to each is own.
