Darcy,

To compare current immigration issues with slavery is to display a lack of knowledge of the suffering and empathy for what slavery brought to those who were subjected to it. This is not the forum to go into this, I'm sure the Political Forum would love to hash that one out, but short of human trafficking, our current immigration is still the voluntary movement of people from one country to another. Whether I agree with the ins and outs of it, that's irrelevant to this discussion.

So, posting a meme using "Edit by VS" and so fourth should not be offensive, as many people use it in their everyday vocabulary. But, watch out! You will get points for it!

But don't worry, you can say call a girl a bitch, hooktard, whore bag, talk about how many mommy marks you find disgusting and so forth and you will be ok. Are you fucking kidding me?!

This site is more and more of a joke everyday! Music always has that word in it, it's in movies, and I've seen the whitest of white girls call each other ma Edit by VS.

So how many of you does this really offend? I am seriously curious. I just don't think it's a huge deal. I mean, I don't even give a shit if a person calls me any mexican type of whatever word. I just don't make a huge deal about it.
Hi Darcy, yes I find the urban term offensive and I was raised in the Deep South where the term was in daily usage by my family.

I also find the terms whore and hooktard offensive. I use the terms bitch and slut only when it gets into the head of the female I am BCD with, if it turns her on.

I get where you are coming from with your original post and it seems to have been overlooked by an emotional response to the derogatory term used for blacks(and sometimes by blacks).

If we can refocus on your original point of the use of derogatory terms such as whore, hooktard and others that I cant remember at the moment, I agree that if we were to actually look at the rules concerning derogatory terms, every post that denigrates our female members with terms that could or should be taken as inciting should be censored equally as quickly as those posts that have terms derogatory to race.

A long sentence, yeah. Bring the grammar police. Promoting censorship of free speech? Sure. I'm a Liberal hose-bag, get over it. If you are going to censor ni66ah then you must censor whore/hooktard as well.

Though I'm ok with leaving modtard as it is.

Since Mr mod decided I should continue the thread.....

To the people who are bitching about slavery, YOU ARE NOT SLAVES! Im pretty sure you don't know anyone who actually was a slave. Although this thread has nothing to do with that, I'm glad you brought it up. I am against all that crybaby nonsense when modern day blacks whine about it. Yes, it was wrong, but it did not happen to you! The black race was not the only race who was wronged! You might as well go to Ferguson and start looting from everywhere in the name of your race! That's how ridiculous you are if that is how you feel. Black people have all the opportunities that everyone else has. Either you take them or you don't, but don't come here whining about slavery being unfair after it has been abolished and no one here had a hand in it. With that mentality you will probably be a hooker forever! And if so, good for you! At least you will get paid to your liking.

Where are the comments from all those girls with their "I don't see AA?" And I'm the racist? Puhleaseeee!

And yes, I will compare it to immigration. You said it was irrelevant, but so was slavery and then the door was opened. This was about the use of a word. But here we are now. Anyone here have an undocumented gardener or maid or even construction worker who gets paid less than a US citizen would? Yes, modern day slavery. Doesn't matter that they voluntarily came here. The president has been inviting them anyway! So don't tell me not to compare it with immigration. Don't be naive when it's happening everyday in front of our eyes.

Meanwhile.........

It's all semantics folks!

There are consequences of judgment for every action.
Let people feel what they feel and think what they think.

Getting offended is an individuals prerogative.
So, it's their choice if they want to waste their time on something they can't control.

Quite frankly, I think getting offended takes away from the power you hold when
just sitting back and letting the offender take the backlash of his actions.
Like I said recently, it's the 21st century. That overly judgmental mentality doesn't fly so well.

Words evolve, people evolve; perpetually.

Keep up!

P.S.
The eons of slavery past, present, and future have and will included people of all races.
It was not only an issue for one race. There where white slaves ("indentured servants") too.

Oh I could write a whole essay right now, but I'm supposed to be working on that concision thing i promised.

Take care my....hem.... fellow eccie members.

Yep, James Earl Carter's grandfather was an indentured slave. He sold his services for an xx number of years in return for ship passage from Ireland/England to Georgia.

Oh goodness Darcy.
Wheres the meme with little kid.... no no noo linda! Stop it!

The more you try yo explain yourself, the more ignorant you come across. You cant tell someone to get over something that happened to them. Or didnt happen. But maybe happened to someone they know, or their ancestors. Etc. Thats just silly.
Thats like telling the child of a rape victim, get over it. Rape has nothing to do with YOU. It happened to your mom.

Furthermore, you trying to prove your point in the most insensitive of ways is ridiculous. Why are you trying to prove your point by making MORE of offensive comments? Do you figure, let me just piss everyone off. Thatll show them. Im an equal oppurtunist? For ex: *I am against all that crybaby nonsense when modern day blacks whine about it.

If "I" didnt know better, sht almost got real.

In your first post, i thought, Darcys being Darcy. Shes pissed bc she took a funny (to her) pic, got warned or pointed, etc.... but i thought SHE DIDNT KNOW BETTER.

However, the more you comment.... the more my thoughts have changed. I see you clearluly know better. You show NO respect for those you may have offended. You do NOT wish to display any level of respect either. Why? Bc you havent stfu and instead you keep insisting on making your point. If only youd have just let it go.

Now im wondering, the first time i met you.... you said "wow. Youre not some ghetto blk btch like i thought you were."
Things that make you go hmmmmmm .....

Good day my folks. Ive said all ive had to say here. Its a lost cause. And in the end.... my day must go on

Maybe because they don't want to sleep with black guys (whatever, more for me!).

Just like some don't want to sleep with fat guys, or old guys.
Some ladies don't want to sleep with guys under 35.
It's their body and their choice. Why is that a problem?

You don't see all those other guys complaining and feeling entitled.
They just go see someone who actually will show them a good time b/c they
accept them for who they are.

Hey, you guys can take it how you want. At this point blacks can do whatever they want to do in life and get ahead so there is no reason to feel sorry for any blacks or walk on eggshells for them because they might get offended. And yes, I did think all black people were ghetto when I got here because there was not a single black person where I grew up. Not one! Before I moved to SA I did NOT at all have an issue with blacks and now this is pretty much the only issue I have. I felt bad for blacks when I saw movies that portrayed slavery and when I heard what happened to their ancestors as I grew up. I really never even experienced any racism and to be honest I did not know it still existed. Then, when I moved here the first ones I met were not the best class of citizens. It was my own fault for hanging out in places I had no business in, but I didn't know any better. But anyway, that was my first impression, until I met others. Yeah, I'm still not cool with thugs or thieves of any race, this is true, but I am not oblivious to the fact that not everyone is that way. However, I still do believe that many black people use slavery as an excuse to call the race card. Obviously the people who know me know that I do not condone slavery or any of that drama, but I do draw the line here. If people never move on from this, there will always be hate. That is the whole point. So, sorry if I ruffled everyone's feathers, but that is how I feel about the subject and I am not changing my mind. Like I said before, to me names that are used to supposedly offend hispanics or whores or anyone else, are not a big deal to me anymore. In fact, these days, I could care less because life is too short to give a fuck about who called who what. I might call someone an asshole or whatever because it's just what we do, but do I think even that person will care? Probably not. And I have never hidden behind all that black business either, as MPK noted. And no I did not have a no AA rule when I was on the board. Surprise! I saw black cock! lol Did I have a problem with those black men? Nope. But you know, I do remember getting some hate mail for seeing blacks one time. Lol Like they were grossed out at me for my choice. Ya never win!
