Whispers, by the time I logged into the site and returned to this thread, CC's explanations were already posted. I saw no need to repeat what he already stated.

Most MODs state the reason for an edit when editing. If you embraced that practice he would not need to step in. There would be nothing for him to say.

Its a weekend, and a holiday weekend at that. Staff is always typically short on weekends as it is.
Why?
1. Because I can.
2. Because I have plenty of time this weekend to do so.

No one ran home to anyone, I can easily see the RTM's and read the posts all by myself. I also know about the areas that are going to be shorthanded as we discuss these things internally. So I fill in where needed. Doing the same in the NY forums as well, as we are down a couple staff there.

Is there some sort of problem with other staff members covering other areas when necessary? Or just another opportunity to throw a jab out there at your favorite mod? FYI, it happens most every week of year in various city/state forums as folks are in aoud for vacations/illness/or any dozens of reasons, it should usually be invisible to most everyone.
