I think it's fair. She's very up front about it. No upsale, no hidden fees or taxes. Actually I think it should attract the attention of the newbs in a positive way. An easy, relatively inexpensive way to get a reference from a well known provider. A very hot well known provider, I should note.

As far as Ember being negative...I've yet to see a review that wasn't smoking hot. And THAT is what it's all about.

It's up to the newbie to decide if the newbie fee is worth it. For many it will be and will open up many more options for their first time in the hobby and gain them a referaI, could be worth it to some guys. I see it as being a smart business angle for the risk she is taking to see newbies. Ember is on the cutting edge with marketing her services she has added photo and video as additional streams of income. Why not make as much money as possible while you are at the peak of demand for your youth, beauty and skills. I think she is just being a savvy bussinesswoman. The market will decide, why not run the experiment and see what happems

I kind of like the idea of having a cash option for getting your foot in the door. A lot of businesses do this as general practice. An example of this would be someone who has poor credit or no credit history. When buying a car, they have to put more money down... or they have a higher interest rate because the lending institution either sees them as a bad financial risk (the poor credit guy) or simply have trouble assessing what type of risk they will be (the no credit history guy).

If a newbie wants to check out Ember's badinkadink in person, and they can't prove they're legit and not a creeper or LE, then an additional fee is reasonable to cut through some red tape. If people don't like that option, there are LOTS of newbie friendly providers out there who will give references that they could be seeing first. Don't want to pay the money, then pick someone else who doesn't charge a fee.

One thing I also noticed on Ember's page is that she has a photo/video fee (with restrictions)... I think this is another great idea... although I'd be curious what tools she'd provide to do the video/photos... In my head I see an old point & shoot camera and a Hi-8 camcorder being offered up haha but, beggars can't be choosers.

Oh lady, you nailed that one. Creepy! That sums things up.

I taught my daughters to be strong women, not tolerate those guys who try to put them down no matter what. Their training and education was first with me. Acting girlie stupid was never allowed, that only attracts the worst type of men. Too bad more dads don't take the same pride in their daughters as they do their sons.

There are a lot of guys available, I just don't understand how so many young guys today are total jerks without an education or job skills. I see guys with their pants falling off every day, and most of them dress like slobs and don't comprehend that it is not cool. What is a young lady to choose from? It is enough to make a girl forget about a normal date. I have several ladies tell me the best part about the hobby is that they can accept or reject a meeting as they want, it is their choice. The best part is that they can have fun and get paid for it too.

My unscientific opinion is that there may be more ladies in the hobby than you would think just because they would like to have sex, they don't need the money that much. A number of the ladies I have met over the last 50+ years in the hobby have had a full time job. True, most had children. But, they don't want to put up with the dating game. I don't think the hobby is always about money with the best ladies. It is also about feelings.

Only about money is found at the low end of the hobby, and with the pimps/managers/drivers who beat the ladies and/or rob the clients. There you also find those with the need to spend every penny as soon as it is earned on what everyone knows about, but we should not say on this forum.

Over time, they gives themselves away, and I for one avoid them.

Hay, they say one bad apple spoils the whole barrel; but, you can pull the bad apple out of the barrel and throw them away. Maybe, just maybe, one can save the rest of the barrel of good apples.

When I used to take newbies, they were charged an extra fee. The OP is correct that many ladies do subscribe to this practice and that it has gone on for years. I stopped seeing newbie clients from P4P site a few years ago.

Oh come on Gemma a lady of your caliber must have a guy that would take a bullet or two.... NO? truth be told with all that you offer it's hard for me to believe some sugar daddy hasn't come along and just ran off with you. Its pretty simple, if you want to see her and your a newbie it will cost you $40.00 if you don't want to see her because of that, well then that's up to you. All of the rest of this bullshit is well just bullshit. Pretty simple and doesn't really require 5 pages of drama from the no drama club to come to that conclusion.
