The truth of the matter is that the locker room is the player's sanctuary. It is the only place where they can just let go. It is often crude and not the place for the soft and sensitive. It is no place for any reporter male or female. They should have a seperate interview room to have access to the players. You are basically entering the bathroom of 50 players, often after the heat of battle, and yes anything and everything is liable to be said or done.

Helluvan idea! A separate room for reporters to ask questions of the players and coaches after a game... after they have already cleaned up and dressed behind closed doors?!? like a press conference, right?!?


By the way, I am making fun of the press's insistence on locker rooom reporting, not your assertion they should have a separate interview room. If the press is going to be allowed in a locker room, in my opinion, there should be a ten minute window immediately after the game that they are allowed in. Kick them out for an hour or so to let the players get showered, changed and ready for a formal press conference.
