Hobbyist how many attempts before you move on to the next provider?

If I contact someone by sending a PM or email or text and I never he back from them then I am 100% done and move on now if she replies and our schedules just don't meet then I will continue to try but then it moves to 3 times your out. Why would anyone do anything other than the following?

1) Call provider A.
2) If you don't get a quick response, call provider B.
3) If you don't get a quick response, call provider C.
4) Book with the first one to respond and give you a firm commitment.

How long you wait depends on your relative desire to see each provider.

Why does anyone have any problems with that. If a particular lady doesn't get back to you quickly, move on.

If you go to Bubba's grocery store, and they don't have the BillyBob's canned peas you want, buy something else or go to another store. Don't get mad about it, just take your business elsewhere. Same thing if Bubba's has a line that's too long.

You don't get mad at Bubba, and Bubba doesn't get mad at you.

What does piss me off is when you call provider A, she doesn't respond for a while, and then she finally responds and calls YOU a time waster for calling her and not booking. Does she expect to cool your heels and waste all of your time waiting for her to respond.

This is yet another reason I hate the "text only" bullshit. On the phone, you work out the details in a minute or two and then you're done. With text, the transaction to set up the appointment and get the details can take hours, and you're expected to cool your heels while she dinks around rather than taking care of business.

Great point. I typically when setting an appointment reach out to 3 ladies and the first to contact is who I normally book with and if the averages say 1 would respond maybe 2 or 3 days later and the last one would never respond.

If I get any response I typically stay in contact to book at a later day but again the one that does not respond will not get another chance with me and it looks like most hobbyist feel the same.

I see a very select few providers chimed in on this discussion and added to it its kind of amazing how some can chat about nonsense but when it comes to them they are quiet and bite there tongue. I seriously would like to know the providers thoughts as well, regarding if they try to respond to all PM's or are you selective on who you respond to things like that. If some of you could give us hobbyist a idea of how often you reply so some guys will know if they should move on permanently or not.

I get many phone calls and PMs each day, and am seeing Clients at the same time, SO, it can take a few hours or even the next day before I can get back to them. I usually only see from 12 to 15 Clients every week, but try to return all of their emails or PMs.

I do my darnedest to answer each and every inquiry that comes my way. It absolutely can be difficult to filter through, the verious kinds of communication methods the Ladies employ. Sometimes, I curse out my spam filter or the ECCIE gods for doing a mid day update, but try to take things in stride.

My preferred method of initial contact is via PM or email. Simply because everything is there in black and white. If I am in the middle of screening someone and get distracted, or I have a client scheduled, I know exactly where I have left off in my process. I tend to receive the bulk of my potential new client appointment requests, between the hours of 8 and 11am. I send out a welcome, and request for additional screening information if they have not provided that info on first contact. If they have, I request references, and give the client a quick status update, and continue to give updates through the process. I've purposely tried to automate the process, so it's effective and time sensitive. I spend and average of 2 to 3 hours everyday just communicating with potential clients and trying to get them screened. Again, if you have solid references, the process goes much, much quicker.

I will fully admit that it can take a new fella sometime, even 24 hours, to schedule his first appointment with me. Especially if his references tend to be off the board more than on, or he contacts me at noon for a 1pm appointment. I'm usually elbow deep in massage oil at this time of day. Not always, but most of the time. Sometimes our schedules are just completely different, or if he's a last minute kind of guy. I will do my darnedest to get someone screened and on my mat ASAP, but some days it just doesn't happen that quickly. I'm grateful most will keep trying, and I keep the line of communication open. I also have a large percentage of clients who are "lurkers" and tend to book 24 to 48 hours in advance, in prime times, 11am to 4pm. Not to mention my regular clients who keep me hopping.... Or should that be slip slide'n and smooch'n? Once we get through the initial appointment, I'm very easy to book time with.

I absolutely reserve my phone number for established clients only. I have my hands full enough trying to juggle my PM's, emails, and focusing on the client currently on my mat! I can't imagine having to worry about my phone too! My established clients can absolutely text me to set up an appointment if they wish. They tend to only use it to see if I've had a same day cancellation or, if I'm available to book an appointment without the 1 hour lead time. I especially like the "just thinking of you texts!"

I use an online booking system for my established clients, and it is all of our preferred method of booking! They have access to my online schedule, make their appointment selection, see the times I'm available, and book with me at their convenience. They receive instant satisfaction in creating the appointment, an email confirmation follows within a minute or two, and I'm notified via email and phone. I can concentrate on the client in front of me, and they can book my next available appointment. It seems to make my clients very happy, and works extremely well.
