try any belgian style beer - lets say ommegang, a local upstate ny brewery, at 50 degrees if you want some flavor
Ommegang stuff is amazing.... and very fairly priced if you do NOT buy it in a bar (I paid close to $20 for a pint bottle in Manhattan before I knew I could get it at Wegman's for about $6 - thank God for expense accounts!).

I've never been to their brewery, but I see that they do things like concerts there. Gotta check that out.

As for home-brewing.... I tried that for awhile, but the bottom line is I hate cleaning things. And you've got to spend a lot of time doing that if you home brew. You end up working for less than minimum wage. Don't get me wrong - I would have kept at it if the beer situation stayed the way it did 20 years ago. But now I can go into a convenience store and buy a 6-pack of EBC or Saranac for a bit more than a buck a bottle. It's the same reason I "hobby." It takes less time and money overall.

What? This is Frank Boon and his brewery in Belgium. I've been to many breweries in Belgium and The Netherlands. All are very clean.

If anyone wants to try some good craft beer in Roc I suggest The Tap and Mallet, Old Toad, and Victoire. Victoire is a Belgian focused bar but unfortunately their selection is run of the mill. Ever so often they have something unusual but not often. The tap selection is split between Belgian Beers and Domestic Belgian-influenced.

If it isn't ice cold and I can't suck it out of a long necker, I'm just not interested.

I hate drinking it out of a glass or can. Even though it may taste better poured, I just don't care for it.

Wine belongs in a glass, not beer.

Aren't most longnecks still made out of glass? (unless you get one of those expensive plastic long neck at a concert/sporting event)

I'll take a Bellhaven Scottish Ale or a St. Andrews Ale. The Wee Heavy isn't too bad either.

I forgot about beer bongs.

Never tried one, born too long ago.

Need to give it a try.

I'm sure it's quite satisfying, with a great finish. lol
