In rural areas they can get the Internet, so they don't have to subscribe to Playboy, either. I think you can get it on newsstands in convenience stores, but that is about it.

I have no idea why anyone would subscribe to it.

For the articles DUH!

Even The Lodge has gone downhill over the past few years. A couple of times recently, the dancer line up there made me think that I was witnessing The Charge of the Heavy Brigade. However, I would still rank it ahead of the other clubs around DFW.

The last time I was a Silver City, there were two Drop Dead Gorgeous ladies working, but neither was a dancer. One was a Blonde bartender. The other was a petite Latina waitress who bore a striking resemblence to a young Sophia Loren.

I am m still a big Fan of the Lodge. I know alot of the girls as I use too work there. Some of the girls aren't all that. But it is still the nicest and has the best meat loaf and scalloped potatoes around.

JL & OBSG are right on target.

Back in the 90's the good clubs were more about the IOP than the physical side of passion. Clubs were filled with beautifull women who appeared happy to be on stage; there was an energy in the air. Guys could spend an evening out or just drop in after work, be surrounded by beautiful women, have a few dances and be that much more motivated to see their SO when they got home. If you had a bad work day, you left it behind you.

Today, the atmosphere at many clubs is almost depressing. Girls rarely dance on stage but merely move about from stage to stage until they finish their set and wait for someone to solicit them. I'm sure there are many reasons for the change, be it the economy or the internet or any number of factors; but, I believe it will eventually cycle around and the club style of the 90's will return.
At least we can always hope.

Can't say I've ever been a fan of the Dallas clubs. Yeah, there was a fun-time hey-day in the early to mid nineties but I lived elsewhere. For me, I spent a good deal of time in Houston "working" which meant I was done to get out the traffic before 3 and until after 6 and it was always more *fun* and the extras weren't menu items or upcharges, they were just part and parcel of the H-town party vibe. Naughty girls gave naughty *dances*. You could pick the rent or tuition girls out of the crowd, pass on a couple of the too-drunk-to-notice what you were doing types and then find the let's-rub-each-other-the-right-way ladies and game on. In fact I used to have more fun for a buck and a half in Houston than you could have with a sure thing here for twice that. Then I moved here, quit travelling to Houston and had to join a*p* just to have some fun, that's how radical the difference was.

In Houston and couple of places in Florida, where the population and the strip club culture thrive and survive it's still alive and well. Places like Dallas where it's always been sort a covert dirty little Jack Ruby sort of world regardless of the architecture there's no real depth to the talent pool, and the talent pool here, unfortunately, hasn't got the strip club mindset.

WOW this is one super cool thread! For the record, I am a Class A Mullet/Chump - having spent thousands in ONE night at clubs and get nothing but some teasing.

All of you asking... Where have the hotties gone? They are in the high dollar markets - South Florida go to Baby Dolls, Pink Pussycat, Gold Club, Pure Platinum and be prepared to see tons of centerfold quality ladies... same in LA, LV and I suspect NY, Chicago, DC etc... where the money is the ladies IS... why wouldn't the hotties go and do the same thing for 2 or 3 times the money?

I am thinking of offering somebody a free night at a club with me - to show me how to get over with these ladies - I stopped going when I realized I was a target and too stupid to know how to get what I was looking for.

JL - excellent post

My favorite type of hobbying is going to strip clubs and trying to get one of the hotties to give me extras. I would say there's probably a 60% chance of getting extras(with the hotties) in a Club. Of course you can always get something if your not too picky; however, there is never a guarantee with a hottie. Alot of factors come into play. The girl or girls that you target may have regulars there, may have just made alot of $$$ that night, management maybe on there ass and they may just not like you. Who knows, but if everything aligns and you work out the arrangement nothing is more of a turn on. Yes, I can go get a for sure thing by going to an AMP or calling a provider and that is great( I do it), but the thrill of getting a stripper to do what I want in public is the most exciting turn on for me. It's the chase that is exciting and half the time the extras are just ok. Sometimes even a let down, but the thrill is knowing you got what you wanted out of her. I think it is definitely a fetish and I really enjoy it when they are telling me no I can't do that and the next thing you know they are sucking your dick (probably a tease and denial type fantasy I have also).

I will say the quality in most Clubs has gone down, but there still is plenty of talent. you have to realize alot of the players move from club to club so that the "heat" (management, other strippers don't label or get too pissed at them). Some of them work out deals with their regulars for OTC and then make enough doing that that they don't have to dance regularly. Some end up becoming providers realizing they can control all of their money coming in. Pimps also recruit alot of girls in these Clubs and control alot of the action, so the classier girls will stay away. We all know their is always drama with strippers, but that is part of the fun and overall experience. Anyway it is all a game they want your money for nothing and will take it if you let them.

I would say the best way to get extras is to get to know the waitresses and then also have just a little game to know how to negotiate the deal. If you lay down and give a stripper $20's for dances and then never really get into a discussion about extras she will milk you dry. You will get rejected which is no big deal. Move on to the next one, but don't be that guy all the strippers in the back are talking about how easy it was to get a $100 out of for 4 or 5 dances. The next thing you know they will all be trying to give dances to you with no chance of extras (you become the sucker or meal ticket at that point). I'm not saying your a sucker if all you want is dances bc there are times that is all I want. I'm just saying if you establish a certain "friend" relationship with a dancer it makes it harder to move to the next level in most cases.

This is the only way I can think of that explains the DancingBear phenomenon. But I'd sure love for the Bear to go on tour and give the Metroplex a try.

Thats easy: you can go to the Lodge or the Mens Club, and I can go Baby Dolls, or Cabaret Royale.
