I understand that some are overweight by choice, but there are several who most certainly are not! There are so so so many medical conditions that cause weight gain, not to mention the meds that cause weight gain. What about the ones that injured themselves, maybe in a car wreck, or have back problems, or older clients. People like that cant work out! The extreme insensitivity shown merely by the use of the term 'fatties' is deplorable. It's as if you think that overweight people are all that way by choice. I used to be one of those way too overweight people. Three back surgeries and a knee surgery were more to blame than my appetite or my choice of food. The surprising thing for me was that I didn't have any more difficulty finding a civilian date when I was heavy than I did when I was slim, or than I do now when I'm somewhere in the middle.

When I was at my largest I was easily a hundred pounds overweight, and I never had a provider say that I was too heavy for anything, or even hint that I should pay more because of my size. I think I would have been stunned speechless if that happened, and anyone who knows me, or has seen my posts, knows that speechless is something I just don't do. And it's not surprising that providers feel or act that way, because the client has the power to post a review, and an honest review of a provider who deals negatively with this issue couldn't do anything other than hurt that provider's business. Lots of guys think they are way too heavy, when women don't. If those guys see a review saying she charges extra for heavy clients, they won't call to find out how heavy; they'll call someone else.

And what's next? You start charging more for severe acne, because it's hard to look at their face? Charge more for hairy guys, because you prefer no body hair? Maybe you want the girls to charge more for dumb guys, because keeping up good conversation with them is more difficult than with an educated man.

The bottom line is that the girls are in the customer service business, and customers come in all shapes and sizes. The successful ones deal with it. The lucky ones aren't bothered by it. The others aren't worth my time.

I am overweight. I know I am overweight. I do not expect special treatment, rates, understanding or compassion. I am working on losing it, and it is slow going. I am not for everyone and everyone is not for me. It is called preferences. And it is ok to have them. IT IS NOT OK to berate someone because they don't fit into your cookie-cutter view of society. There are such things called human decency and manners.
