LL,
I love your dedication and your professionalism. The quality and consistency of service you describe is comparable to a First Class Hotel.
So if a first class hotel (needing to pay for both fixed assets and high variable costs) has unused capacity they will reduce their stated rates of say.. $300 down to say... $120, would one consider them wise businesspeople ?
I hope you wouldn't be any more insulted than the hotel clerk if your hobbyist asked for your competitor's phone number.

If I book a room at Ritz Carlton and pay their rack rates,
you might consider me a "sucker"...
(there IS one born every minute),
but I would certainly enjoy the quality experience they provide.
But if I could enjoy that experience at a lower cost...
I might even enjoy myself a little More,
with a nice dinner at their restaurant,
couple extra drinks at their bar,
and make sure to tip everyone heavier.

Women love to shop,
love to find bargains,
especially on top quality merchandise,
and
then love to share their bargain finds with their girl friends...
Part of the Joy of this hobby is in "shopping",
finding that special, fresh, new provider,
receiving top quality service,
especially finding that service at a bargain
and
then sharing their bargain finds with their hobby friends...
Who would begrudge that Joy ? We all need a little Joy !
