Exactly. If the mission had been a disaster and several of the SEALS had been killed, who would be using the death of the Navy SEALS as a campaign issue?

And admittedly, if it were reversed, Democrats would use it against Republicans too.

And i've got a gazzillion bucks that says that if the Iraq War was a smashing success, that John McCain would have used Obama's initial opposition to it as campaign fodder. You know, just like they did with Obama's opposition to "The Surge".
