Getting some strange for some change....titles are irrelevent. An Escort can do the horizontal shuffle and get paid for it, a prostitute can sit and listen to a trick's problems and get paid for it. Wadaminute, would that make her a psychologist then?

This is just my take on this, but it is more important how you TREAT them than what you CALL them. another way of looking at it is - do you want her to consider you a client or a john?

Ok, no offense intended but, now you are rationalizing?

Consider a white woman who drinks 12 wine glasses a day versus a young black man who drinks 12 40s in a brown paper bag a day.

The white woman can says she's not an alcoholic since she's...you know, a wine connoisseur and she's just tasting different grapes from all over the world along with their paired tapas.

In my opinion it is all one in the same. A prostitute is a prostitute no matter what rate she commands, what she does/n't do, no matter what the label says on her lingerie- you are a prostitute.

I am not rationalizing - I am just saying that what is good for the goose is good for the gander. In many quarters there is a stigma attached to BOTH ends of this biz. The impact od calling someone a "whore" "prostitute" etc. depends on HOW you mean it. It is kind of like the "N" word in that regard.

Not really,Merriam Websters Definition is below.

1. : a woman who engages in sexual acts for money : prostitute; also : a promiscuous or immoral woman

Escort and Courtesan are just new euphemisms created in lieu of whore and prostitute. Their uses are to allow the lady to attempt to charge more by re-branding and as euphemisms go, to not make it sound not so dirty or vulgar.

Whether a slut or lady charges for time or sex is really irrelevant. We are both getting what we want.



Think of it this way. If you are at a bar and meet a bar fly, talk with her, buy her some drinks. If all goes well, you'll get to a point where you know you are going to hit that ass.

Now, you know she's a slut, everyone who's a regular and works there know she's a slut, she knows she a slut, but you aren't going to come out and say it to her now are you?

To answer the stigma issue, yes if you call a faithful moral housewife a whore or prostitute it will be a very stigmatizing and insulting thing for obvious reasons. You are saying that she essentially has sex for money, a very now taboo thing in most of this country.

How that stigma carries over to this board is interesting. No one wants to be called names, even if they are accurate. Remember, when a person is mad at someone else said person will throw insults hopping at least one of them will do some damage and hurt.

I could care less about the semantics...really...because it is how someone thinks of you in their mind that dictates their actions. I feel appreciated for my intellect, wit and beauty. I believe that I could snag an attractive leawood man tomorrow and blend into johnson county housewife lala land...and never have to worry about a dime.

The thing of it is, that I am all heart. I can't fake or sell out true love, be a goldigger. Just not in me. I would prefer have gentleman friends that I can have honest relationships with but that don't dictate my life, nor do I theirs. I am strongly opposed to manipulation in the hobby. Not saying things can't move to another level, but with everyone on board, no hidden agendas.

I have 2 friends (non-hobby, non-knowing of my hobby) who are in unsatisfied relationships that they already bitch about major issues after 2 years. They see the men that they are dating as financially beneficial. I can have a baby and stay home...kids go t private school etc., I don't care if he works all of the time.

I just can't imagine it. Ppl who know me could attest to the fact that I like everyone to know where they stand at all times! I happen to think that the other route is more unfair and unhealthy for both parties....but who gives a shit what I think...it's the american way.
