Iran had time to move their stockpiles because donnie dipshit blurted out to the world that he was going to strike. And now donnie dipshit is begging China to help keep the Straight of Hormuz open - after months of an ill-advised trade war against them.
This is what happens when the dumbest voters in the world elect the dumbest politicians in the world. Thanks for starting WW3, MAGA. High gas prices will be the best part of all this.

Nobody is "begging" anyone, tommy. China buys 1.8 million barrels of Iranian oil every day. It's loaded onto tankers that sail through the Strait. The US Navy's 5th Fleet, based in Bahrain, protects those tankers and keeps the Strait of Hormuz open to all international maritime traffic.
China doesn't want to see its oil supply interrupted. That would hurt its economy. It would hurt the Iranians too, since it would cut off their last major source of foreign exchange revenue. But that doesn't mean the Iranians won't try. Have you ever heard the expression "Don't cut off your nose to spite your face"? It applies throughout the Middle East.
So what if we quietly pointed out the above facts to China and said it would behoove them to remind their Iranian friends it would be in nobody's interest to try and block the Strait? Why does that trigger you, tommy? No "begging" was involved.
At its narrowest point, the Strait is 21 miles wide. The Iranians have tried unsuccessfully to mine it in the past. If they try again, the US Navy Fifth Fleet will blast their little dinghies out of the water and swoop in with minesweepers to keep all Persian Gulf traffic open.
Perhaps you never thought about this, tommy. Doesn't it strike you as odd that US taxpayers are footing the bill to protect oil shipping lanes in the Persian Gulf on behalf of China et alia? Shouldn't we send China an invoice for our services?

I suspected it would be a waste of time to lay out and explain the strategic realities to you, tommy. Sorry if it's way above your pay grade.
Maybe you should BEG me to stop trying to educate you? Why are you so lacking in curiosity and desire to engage in fruitful conversation?

He's a freaking Liberal Bot, nothing you can say will ever change his mind.
The kind of person who could watch an illegal murder an American citizen, and then deny it ever happens.

Did somebody here say high gas prices?
HOUSTON, June 23 (Reuters) - Oil prices settled down more than 7% on Monday, losing more than $5 a barrel after Iran took no action to disrupt oil and gas tanker traffic through the Strait of Hormuz, but instead attacked a U.S. military base in Qatar in retaliation for U.S. attacks on its nuclear facilities.
Brent crude futures closed down $5.53, or 7.2%, at $71.48 a barrel, while U.S. West Texas Intermediate crude (WTI) eased $5.53, or 7.2%, to $68.51.

Iran’s economy flows thru those waters. I know they’re lunatics, but they understand money.

Israel and Iran agree to a ceasefire and an end to the war. Only Trump could have pulled this off.
BREAKING: President Trump announces that Israel and Iran have reached a ceasefire agreement.

No, according to 2013 Trump this was the 2013 Obama playbook.
Looks like he used it. That effectively means that Obama, Trump 1.0, Biden and Trump 2.0 could all have done it.
Where was this neocon desire to drive diplomacy via military force in the past? Bibi forced his hand

what playbook? do nothing and hope for the best? that Obama plan? Obama wouldn't have made the strikes even if Oct 7 happened on his watch. Obama hates Israel and would have admonished them for retaliating and accuse them of genocide nonsense.
you can't play revisionist history about something, Oct 7, that didn't happen on prior president's administrations. the "what if" game has no relevancy.
the US knew in advance Israel was going to take action. we supported it. no one forced anything on Trump. the strike was the right thing to do and Trump took action.

Mr Gristle makes things up as he goes along. I guess it’s entertaining. He forgot to mention Obama sent Iran 1.7 billion in cash to fund their nuke program and their proxies to reign terror on Israel.
