It's possible your original question was genuine. It's also possible that it was little more than a veiled attempt at getting people to tell you how "cool" they think your shtick is. In fairness, I suppose i shouldn't presume it to be either one. It does seem like it would take someone pretty thin-skinned to be offended, but i suppose it's possible.

This thread brought me back to my high school days, where I went to a prominently white school, and there were a few white kids who spoke slang. I was not offended, I was just like........oh well I guess they were just trying to be relate-able.

Im gathering you are white, and some people are offended that you are speaking slang. Who are those people? curiosity has me. Granted I have not ever in my life had a white client ever tell me, " Aight Lisa, peace out homie", or Thats waz up shawty, the service was just poppin. Not sure if I would be offended or not, but I would look at him funny.

He is actually a nice mellow free spirited guy.. even with his peace and homie terms. Id consider him more of a hippy actually. lol
