I would agree with that. But SOTU addresses are total BS whether by a Democrat or a Republican. Stretch the truth as much as possible. Make more promises that will go unfilled. After being divisive for 2 years, ask for unity.

Or when SNOPES lied and said that there was no evidence that Nathan Philips ever claimed he was a Vietnam vet? Reading three or four sources often helps discern the truth from even biased sources.

You are correct. Independents will decide the 2020 election. But to make the leap that because a person approved of Trump's SOTU address that it will make them move from voting Democrat to voting Republican is ridiculous. The old saying "Actions speak louder than words" comes to mind.

As I said before, it was a typical SOTU speech. Embellish your accomplishments. Make promises. I approved of the speech. I will not vote for Trump in 2020. If you believe that the speech will impact voters to any great extent, I have some swamp land in Florida I am trying to sell. Great views!

Yes, we are going to have to work on those independents which I don't think will be too difficult as long as the economy stays true. I consider myself as an independent but gotta vote R because that's where Trump is. If Trump was a D then I would have to vote Dem. I'm just grateful that he's not a dem.
