The stars matter so damn much that I was using them as my #1 criteria in selecting the next provider that I would reach out to and set an appointment. And so thats why i posted this thread. Because they were so important to me.....NOT!!!!!! I base it on the reviews that I read. And yes an attractive photo doesnt hurt either.

I was forced to deduct one star of the initial 5 I started with due to the semi-literate, sanctimonious rantings of one of the posters dragging down the quality of the thread. But, I hasten to emphasize that this is not a reflection on the OP, and was certainly not within his control. He is a good guy and I give him 5 stars as a person.

Well thank you Deanna that makes me feel better. To know that it wasnt directed at me, the OP in any way. Oh no, I dont want to be manipulated, therefore your timely edification is very much appreciated as I was about to drink the ECCIE Kool Aid. Yes I did engage in a conversation with said "veteran" hobbyist, but can you really blame me, a rookie? After all, that veteran hobbyist, he drinks and he knows things. But whew! Im just glad Im nobody to you and none of this about me, despite the fact that I started the thread, got educated by some of the vets, and then contributed to the ongoing conversation and hypothesis as to what might actually be behind the erratic star ratings. I am glad that my post was a means to an end and that it positively contributed to at least something. Thanks for easing my mind.

Well, you’re not wrong, of course. But, we’ve actually been getting along fairly well lately, absent a catalyst to provoke confrontation. Which unfortunately is no longer absent.

And to be on topic I will add:

I was not aware that providers couldn’t give reviews star ratings, not being a provider. But it makes sense. Of course that doesn’t mean pimps, boyfriends and mandles can’t rate them.
