I drove an hour once to Syracuse from Rochester, it decided that was too far to do again, as the horny thoughts made me too tense. I drove to Canada once for Frankie, and that was worth it, but I also toured some local sites so it was a day trip.

If it is reality, it is only so much as created by perception. If perception creates reality, than hooktard A is worth zero because I won't pay her. Throw her out, it's reality, as you say. It is arrogance, but I'll grant you it is in vogue.

[QUOTE=JohnnyCap;1056411211]If it is reality, it is only so much as created by perception. If perception creates reality, .......
It is not arrogance, it is pure Monism, Advaita Vedanta!!
Bhagavatpada Shri Shankara would have hugged you with intense joy and amazement. He would have said: Here is a sage and saint already 3/4 complete!!
I am deadly serious, never joke about these issues, nor about bodhisattvas.
So, who is the perceiver?
What is the nature of that perceiver?
Once there was a man who was studying in a hermitage with a sage and grew tired of that gig. He wanted the bright city lights but could only afford a small town. This was many thousands of years ago in another country, when "small" meant a one-elephant town, literally, ruled over by the local pooh-bah.
As in Microtown, Pop. 300, MN or small towns throughout the US, sometimes the only entertainment in such places is an annual parade. People from surrounding villages came to watch, and the local prince led the show on his elephant.
The former teacher had come to town with a purpose, dressed like a bumpkin, a mentally-handicapped one, and he shoved his way close to his former acolyte, uncomfortably invading his personal space; and began to torment him with a spate of silly questions, just like I torment you with long sentences and disjointed ideas.
First off, he asked him, what is that, pointing to the elephant, The "disciple" [we shall call him that] was amazed, but felt sorry for the poor idiot and decided to help him out. "That's an elephant.
And what is that? came next, the idiot pointing at the king. Oh that is the king, of course!
What is that? Well, to avoid a long discussion, the disciple said, The king is on "top" and he is riding the elephant "below" him.
What is "top" and and what is "below", drooled the idiot?
Thoroughly angry, after a few choice words not permitted on a family site like this, the disciple said, Lean forward, and I shall show you what TOP and BELOW mean.
So the fool did as askedand the disciple jumped upon his shoulders, and shouted, Now listen, That is the elephant on the bottom and there is the king on the top; YOU are on the bottom and I am on the top. Do you get it now?
The fool thanked him and said, I get it now, all except 2 words. I got the elephant, the king, the top and bottom. Now please explain to me the meaning of "you" and "i"?
Hearing this, the disciple felt thunderstruck and fell weeping at the feet of the man, recognizing his teacher in disguise. So begins the Rbhu Gita.

The German philosopher Nietzsche said: "no journey is too far, if you find what you seek". Although I'm guessing that this is not what he had in mind. Danke schoen.

We must be speaking different languages as I still don't get why you feel that way. Maybe you mean something different than monetary value? I am just talking about the monetary value of time, which for me, has changed over the years. In an attempt to avoid being arrogant, I will compare myself to myself.
In college, I had plenty of free time and not much money. I worked for 8 bucks an hour to try to make ends meet and pay for school. Now I have very little time and a set of skills that at least a portion of society values much more than the 8 bucks an hour I used to earn. Would I spend the little time I have going back to work that 8 dollar per hour job when I can earn 100 times that doing other things? No. My time has more monetary value and to waste it at my old menial job seems stupid rather than arrogant. Maybe time has the same value in some existential way, but I guess I am not all that philosophical.

Seeing as how this is coming from someone into lolis/pseudo homosexual types that gets played like a fiddle by train wrecks it's hilarious. there.there I'm sure you feel like such a tough guy just keep telling yourself how important you are and I'm sure you'll start to believe it
I'm sure driving to many street corners and giving them money to"run in and drop off for babysitters" is worth it to feel loved.

Unless i can get certain providers to travel to Buffalo, my tastes and wants seem to always be pushing me towards Rochester. So driving to Rochester is pretty much the norm with me. I'd prefer not to, but i also accept that it's simply a function of my being as choosy as i am, so i'm ok with it.
As far as my valuing my time, i figure if it keeps me off here for the better part of 4-1/2 hours, as it will next weekend, it's worth it.

Very funny coming from the most egocentric hooker in the history of Eccie , but not surprising from someone who has never been one to close her maw - whether it be extorting her own nonexistent virtues, making up shit about others, or at the Chinese buffet. Go figure.

That has nothing to do with driving distance.

A bit more circumspect the second time ... but I'm sure most of us still got it...
I prefer providers drive to me....
Well... some providers... some I prefer they drive in the opposite direction as fast as they can.
