Look up Michael Wayne Jackson... at the time most of the links to his arrest(s) were made he was ACCUSED (not convicted) rapist.
Not only was his arrest record, mug shot, home address, employment and other personal information linked... but also his ECCIE handle and profile.
Why was that all left up and not removed...
because the owners used a little common sense and decided that the safety of the community as a whole was better served by leaving the links up.

Well, its nice to know that this board will allow threads that out people if they get busted and happen to be in the paper. Its one thing if a handful of guys stalk out the LE websites for mugshots, but its another to post it for hundreds, if not thousands to see.

You do realize that not all of your fellow hobbyists are stand up guys right? Some stalk, some beat up and would have no problem showing up on a ladies door if they want to.

But then again, this board has never really been about the ladies, just the guys......the ol' bros before hos mentality. So, I'm not expecting to see any links of the guys who get busted because you guys won't go against your fellow hobbyists. And a lady can't put a link up like that because you guys would roast her like a pig for outing the guys.

The Forum Guideline on outing is being mentioned a lot ...about how its not being used correctly ....let me ask you this....

Are you 100% certain that the removed link about the hooker bust, the link that contains real world info, names and photos, that none of the arrested are members of this site?

And thanks for all the links you found ...I can't speak as to why some things are allowed in some areas sometimes, and other times they're not.

It is frankly irrelevant what has been allowed before in other areas. It is also irrelevant what has or hasn't been done in the KC forum in the past. Guidelines are guidelines, the only relevant thing is why was this particular link removed when it appears to be within the universal Eccie site guidelines.

If we go by your logic JCM any news story or link referring to someone's RL name or photo should be removed because we cannot be 100% certain that they are not a member? Are you saying that she is a member? If she is not then why remove the link? Do Eccie guidelines regarding outing extend to non-members as well? Methincks not.

If she is a member can you please refer us to the part of the news story which links her real name with her Eccie username? If not why remove the link?

I'm hoping that either there is more to the story behind the scenes or this girl is a verified provider and is well known on the board and thus her RL info would be linked with her username because of her photo alone.

Otherwise it looks like a mod needs to re-read the guidelines.

No Sir. Of course not. Are you stating that it was correctly removed because the post contained an attempt to connect the story to a member of ECCIE? Considering you edited the thread, naturally, I have no idea how MUCH was removed and if that was the case you would certainly be in the right.

I DID read the stories... search her name... find more stories..... search BackPage and find an ad.... use that number to search the ad sections and showcases on ECCIE as well as the mugshots and I see no trace of her here on ECCIE that would indicate she is a member.

Could you consider that it is because the Guidelines of the board allow for them to be? That perhaps the job is a bit overwhelming in nature and you might make a mistake on occasion? And might have to adapt when it is pointed out?

You have removed links to some of the stories I posted in other threads in the area here that were put up by other members. I can't say for sure that they were the same links considering these are stories being reproduced around the country.

I can say that they all have the same content as those you appear to have removed. For now you are allowing them to stand...

My questions involve not just this thread and what was removed here but your seemingly wiping any and all links of that nature from this area. Surely you do not know that the "real world Information" contained those stories were also attempts to out ECCIE members.

Are going to take the approach when questioned of hiding behind some vagueness? Or is manning up and acknowledging you perhaps made a mistake and correcting it not a part of your character?

Just questions sir that will help you define to everyone what kind of MOD you are or will be.

MODs make mistakes.

So do ADMINS.

The good ones tend to step up, own those mistakes, correct them and go on to be better MODs.

Those that choose to hide in the shadows lovingly become referred to as MODTards and others that simply claim that they are doing what they should even in the face of being shown they are wrong become more GODMODs.... Niether tend to illicit much respect in the long run.

Going in the wrong decision will define whether or not you become known as someone with "entitlement" issues.

It doesn't appear to be as he has removed other links regarding stories that are not remotely from this area and are stories that ARE linked to and discussed in several areas of the boards.....

He either needs to read for comprehension or solicit some guidance....

Then come back and acknowledge what the procedure is and either restore the information he removed or clarify how it violates guidelines.

As the original poster, I can say that I have no idea where the LE websites are and I have never posted a link or commented in any way about a particular provider being busted. Why can't you understand this is a unique case that defines "there is an exception to every rule" ? This girl was willing to kill people to support herself and her pimp.

Why do you say that? The board specifically prevents it where members are involved and I would say a story repeated on a few dozen new oriented websites probably does the outing without ECCIE contributing to it.
