It's in their water.
The whole NE shares the same aquifer.
Where's the EPA when you need them?

Well, I'm just an unsophisticated rube from Texas, but at least I know to run my drinking water through a distiller. You don't want to drink the stuff from the tap around here; it'll slowly kill you.

What I want is the feelgood stuff those guys are drinking!

Looks like it creates a lot of imaginative fantasies for them. Not my favorite type of fantasies, but fantasies all the same.

Do you think Catholics and Jews are mobilizing to support a Mormon? I mean comparing Mormons to Catholics is night and day in terms of beliefs, values, and ideology.

Mormons accept the Bible as scripture. Remember the LDS stance on Proposition 8? It's in line with the doctrines of Catholics, Jews and Evangelicals, and it is 180o different than Obama’s. These established religions recognize the anti-Christian – anti-church – policies of the current administration. See:http://eccie.net/showpost.php?p=2119850&postcount=1

Really??? You better do some research on the Mormon faith and find out why people call it a cult- it's far different from Catholicisim- here are some basic core Mormon beliefs:
A. God was once a man who lived on another planet
B.Jesus was begotten by physical union of God and Mary. Since God has a body of flesh and bones, he really had literal sex with Mary. The product of this union was Jesus, part man and part God. We believe Jesus was the first born in heaven by heavenly father and mother who created his spirit and our spirits using our "intelligences" as a foundation for our spirits. Our "intelligences" were floating around in the universe and needed to be organized into spirits. Since he was the first born spirit, and according to the Book of Abraham, his "intelligence" was better than the other "intelligences" out there, he is the most important spirit creation. When Jesus received his physical body by the union of God and Mary, his spirit was put into his body like our spirits were put into our bodies. His body was special though because his father was a god. The rest of us have only regular dads.
C. We need to convert the whole world to Mormonism
D.We will only read church approved materials Any literature which is critical of the church is Satanic and/or written by disgruntled apostates or others who do not know the truth. They can be ignored and any reasonable arguments they have are unimportant since they oppose the gospel of Mormonism.

Adam and Jesus are brothers. Also polygamy and don't forget one of their prominent leaders: Brigham Young was a racist towards blacks- so to say that a Mormon like Romney has more in common with Catholics than Barack Obama's Christian beliefs is laughable- wait a minute which one isn't one day you Republicans says that Obama belonged to a radical Christian church next you say he is a muslim which one is it?????

Oh and on Israel Netanyahu has been one of the most radical leaders of Israel in decades even France and England's leader have said on record that Netanyahu(sp) is difficult to work with so no surprise there.

I've read the Book of Mormon. I've lived among and worked with Mormons, Catholics, Protestants, Jews and Muslims. Each of these religions has more in common with the others than each does with Obama. Obama's Christian beliefs? Laughable! He has already admitted he rarely attended church, and when he did, he admitted he didn't hear what the Reverend Wright was saying.

Wellendowed 1911, your wisdom is wasted like peals before swine.

They will still believe he is an angry black panther attendee at Jeremiah Wright's Church and a closet Muslim. He is also a Socialist who gave back General Motors - a clear no-no for socialists.

Their afflictions are called full-on racism and stupidity.

You answered my question you are Full of crap- so you read and understand the entire book? I doubt if you read the Bible. Also, going to church every Sunday doesn't make anyone more or less a Christian than one doesn't go- you ever heard of people saying they are more spiritual than religious???? Just like wearing a chador or Burka doesn't make you more or less muslim than one who doesn't wear one. Based on your post I doubt if you been exposed to anything outside your realm an your "little" world get a life and read some other literature. I have perhaps forgotten more things in the Bible than you will ever learn. And for the record if you knew what Rev Wright was talking about and not taking it out of context rev Wright was correct- he was basically saying why should God Bless America based on all the evil and bad things this nation has done- which we have point blank. However at least as far as I know Rev Wright wasn't praying for the death of a President the way your GOP Kansas representative did last week.

My attempt at understanding is significantly greater than yours, since you have not read the book and you have not visited their city. BTW, when was it that you worked in Salt Lake City?

Obama perfectly illustrates your point.

Have you stood among classical ruins in the Middle East? Have you explored a Buddhist temple in Asia or a Catholic Cathedral in Europe or Central America? Have you bartered with a Muslim merchant in a bazaar in Afghanistan? It is you who has led a bookish life in your 'little world'.

Wright's sermons are posted on the Internet for all to see. It is you who refuses to hear and admit what he said.

Did someone mention Kool-Aid?

It should be clear to everyone that the real Kool-Aid drinkers are those who believe we can travel a long way down the road toward becoming a European-style social democracy and pay for it with tax increases only on the "rich."

The following graph will give you some idea of how a typical social democracy (France) finances high levels of government spending:

That's a real eye-opener for some American fans of big government. As you can see, the French tax the hell out of the poor and the lower middle class, not just high earners. The same is true of every other European social welfare state.

Soon enough, Americans are likely to be saying hello to the VAT. I predict that its introduction is not likely to go over very well.

(Edit: The image I tried to post above didn't show, so here's a link to the story in which it appeared.)

LOL! This is good! Obama can't be socialist because he GAVE BACK General Motors! ROTFLMFAO!!!

Check again, Louie. We the People still own 40% of Government Motors stock. The government is holding it because to sell it would mean a huge loss, and threaten President Obama's re-election.

You are so fucking entertaining! I'm glad you're here!

Does anyone think it odd that we are discussing the relative merits of comparative religions on a SHMB?

I'm not going to take a stand on this, but I will say that of all the Mormons I have ever met (and I have never met Mitt Romney) NONE of them has been dishonest with me, or tried to cheat me, or ever even been rude to me. In fact, being Mormon is probably the only reason IN FAVOR of voting for Romney. The Mormons I have met have been the best people. Almost made me want to join them, but then I found out what they believe, and that was a bit much. I will not insult their character, however. Besides, I like to choose my own underwear.

It is truly fascinating how Obama has managed to alienate so many in such a short time.
