Bush was never more than the lessor of evils, as in the two elections since he left office the choice was between a liberal and a socialist.

He said he'd sign an "assault weapon" (an imaginary term) ban if one was put on his desk, when he should have defended the second amendment.

He supported "no child left behind", when he should have worked to abolish the department of education.

He covered his ass by pointing out that social security was critically flawed and that Fannie Mae in particular and government promoted high risk lending in general were ticking time bombs. What he should have done was attack these issues each and every day with the fervor the POSITOO displayed on his plan to wreck the healthcare system.

He caved to international pressure from the left to hold elections in Iraq before the Shite militias were destroyed. What he should have done was establish a 50 mile deep free fire zone along the Iranian border and raise "Sadr City" to the ground.

And we all know how soft he is on amnesty for illegals.

I hate the Libertarian party's open borders plank, but otherwise they are way the hell and gone better than the Republicrat party.

Damn, how could I have forgotten that one! Within living memory we went from "Ask not what your country can do for you" to "Vote for me and I'll give you free drugs when you get old!"

I would like to ask the lefties here (and Bush haters) how many of his cabinet appointees and regulatory people had not yet gotten a Senate hearing on 9/11? I would also like to ask how many judges seats were empty because Harry Reid would not give them a hearing? Find that out and then get back to me about the Congress being friendly to Bush (like how I did that? I never said entirely hostile but you said that I did so I've turned it around to say that you claim the Congress was friendly. We all know the Congress was not friendly to Bush, right?).

I never said that the entire Congress (which is a term that includes both the Senate and the House) was was hostile. For a year and a half of Bush's first two years the democrats controlled the Senate. For four years the Senate had a one vote or Cheney vote lead for the GOP and the last two years the Senate was controlled by democrats. The House was taken over by the democrats the last two years of Bush's administration. Far diffferent than the first two years of Obama when he didn't even include the GOP in any sessions. You can say that Bush did not have a hostile Congress as much as you like but you would still be wrong. Go back and read the funny papers.

I still have to wonder why you nimrods have to take things out of context or lie outright in order to try to win your points. Can't you just stick to facts? I can't believe one of you blamed Bush for 9/11 again because the Congress backed his play. What is wrong with you?

For Timmie; shouldn't you point out how many days Bush lost because Clinton's people would not allow the incoming administration the office space to get started. That August date may have become a July or June date. If you also go look it up the Clinton turn over DID NOT emphasize the Bin Laden threat, just the opposite. The Clintons thought they had taken care of it.

Biden didn't write the patriot act. I have proven that beyond a shadow of a doubt ... you didn't notice because youre incapable of understanding the truth

Everybody but the people sent over there to look for them.

Bush and Cheney lied through their teeth on that one. Worst con job in US History ... leading to hundreds of thousands of dead and trillions of dollars squandered.

Nice try to justify one lie with another.

Democrat Quotes on Iraq Weapons of Mass Destruction

"One way or the other, we are determined to deny Iraq the capacity to develop weapons of mass destruction and the missiles to deliver them. That is our bottom line."
--President Bill Clinton, Feb. 4, 1998

"If Saddam rejects peace and we have to use force, our purpose is clear. We want to seriously diminish the threat posed by Iraq's weapons of mass destruction program."
--President Bill Clinton, Feb. 17, 1998

"Iraq is a long way from [here], but what happens there matters a great deal here. For the risks that the leaders of a rogue state will use nuclear, chemical or biological weapons against us or our allies is the greatest security threat we face."
--Madeline Albright, Feb 18, 1998

"He will use those weapons of mass destruction again, as he has ten times since 1983."
--Sandy Berger, Clinton National Security Adviser, Feb, 18, 1998

"[W]e urge you, after consulting with Congress, and consistent with the U.S. Constitution and laws, to take necessary actions (including, if appropriate, air and missile strikes on suspect Iraqi sites) to respond effectively to the threat posed by Iraq's refusal to end its weapons of mass destruction programs."
Letter to President Clinton, signed by:
-- Democratic Senators Carl Levin, Tom Daschle, John Kerry, and others, Oct. 9, 1998

"Saddam Hussein has been engaged in the development of weapons of mass destruction technology which is a threat to countries in the region and he has made a mockery of the weapons inspection process."
-Rep. Nancy Pelosi (D, CA), Dec. 16, 1998

"Hussein has ... chosen to spend his money on building weapons of mass destruction and palaces for his cronies."
-- Madeline Albright, Clinton Secretary of State, Nov. 10, 1999

"There is no doubt that ... Saddam Hussein has reinvigorated his weapons programs. Reports indicate that biological, chemical and nuclear programs continue apace and may be back to pre-Gulf War status. In addition, Saddam continues to redefine delivery systems and is doubtless using the cover of a licit missile program to develop longer-range missiles that will threaten the United States and our allies."
Letter to President Bush, Signed by:
-- Sen. Bob Graham (D, FL), and others, Dec 5, 2001

"We begin with the common belief that Saddam Hussein is a tyrant and a threat to the peace and stability of the region. He has ignored the mandate of the United Nations and is building weapons of mass destruction and th! e means of delivering them."
-- Sen. Carl Levin (D, MI), Sept. 19, 2002

"We know that he has stored secret supplies of biological and chemical weapons throughout his country."
-- Al Gore, Sept. 23, 2002

"Iraq's search for weapons of mass destruction has proven impossible to deter and we should assume that it will continue for as long as Saddam is in power."
-- Al Gore, Sept. 23, 2002

"We have known for many years that Saddam Hussein is seeking and developing weapons of mass destruction."
-- Sen. Ted Kennedy (D, MA), Sept. 27, 2002

"The last UN weapons inspectors left Iraq in October of 1998. We are confident that Saddam Hussein retains some stockpiles of chemical and biological weapons, and that he has since embarked on a crash course to build up his chemical and biological warfare capabilities. Intelligence reports indicate that he is seeking nuclear weapons..."
-- Sen. Robert Byrd (D, WV), Oct. 3, 2002

"I will be voting to give the President of the United States the authority to use force -- if necessary -- to disarm Saddam Hussein because I believe that a deadly arsenal of weapons of mass destruction in his hands is a real and grave threat to our security."
-- Sen. John F. Kerry (D, MA), Oct. 9, 2002

"There is unmistakable evidence that Saddam Hussein is working aggressively to develop nuclear weapons and will likely have nuclear weapons within the next five years ... We also should remember we have always underestimated the progress Saddam has made in development of weapons of mass destruction."
-- Sen. Jay Rockefeller (D, WV), Oct 10, 2002

"He has systematically violated, over the course of the past 11 years, every significant UN resolution that has demanded that he disarm and destroy his chemical and biological weapons, and any nuclear capacity. This he has refused to do"
-- Rep. Henry Waxman (D, CA), Oct. 10, 2002

"In the four years since the inspectors left, intelligence reports show that Saddam Hussein has worked to rebuild his chemical and biological weapons stock, his missile delivery capability, and his nuclear program. He has also given aid, comfort, and sanctuary to terrorists, including al Qaeda members ... It is clear, however, that if left unchecked, Saddam Hussein will continue to increase his capacity to wage biological and chemical warfare, and will keep trying to develop nuclear weapons."
-- Sen. Hillary Clinton (D, NY), Oct 10, 2002

"We are in possession of what I think to be compelling evidence that Saddam Hussein has, and has had for a number of years, a developing capacity for the production and storage of weapons of mass destruction."
-- Sen. Bob Graham (D, FL), Dec. 8, 2002

"Without question, we need to disarm Saddam Hussein. He is a brutal, murderous dictator, leading an oppressive regime ... He presents a particularly grievous threat because he is so consistently prone to miscalculation ... And now he is miscalculating America's response to his continued deceit and his consistent grasp for weapons of mass destruction ... So the threat of Saddam Hussein with weapons of mass destruction is real..."
-- Sen. John F. Kerry (D, MA), Jan. 23. 2003

It's a bone in your throat, isn't it?

Setting aside the fact that many many of those quotes speak in terms of "development" or "program", not actual existing weapons....setting aside the fact that many many of those quotes are from folks relying on the executive branch for the intelligence they are being fed...that would be Bush's people desperately seeking support for their war....the plain simple fact of the matter is that it was your boy who fucked up.

Bush was the one who decided to invade Iraq, nobody else, he's the one that made it happen. And after he decided, he cherry-picked the intelligence to put the best evidence he could find out there that Saddam had the weapons so he could convince congress to vote for his war. Let's face it, that's the reason you all run away from him now, all your bullshit "he's really just a liberal "aside. One of the most monumental fuckups in Presidential history and it's all on your boy. And, I just bet you were absolutely beside yourself when he landed on that aircraft carrier in his little flight suit...with his little sign...."MIssion Accomplished." Don't you tell me you weren't wetting your fucking pants you were so pleased. But, then it all kind of went to shit, didn't it?

And doesn't it just piss you off that he's a substantial part of the reason that a democrat will be President for the forseeable future? He started a bullshit war that will end up costing us $5 trillion dollars after the interest is added, and 32,000 casualties.....and everybody with half a brain knows it....we'll exclude you and the rest of your idiot friends on the board from that segment of the population. Oh, and he managed to wreck the economy in his spare time.

Sit on it and spin.

And, by the way, fuck you and your quotes. When Henry Waxman or Madelein Albright become president and decide to invade a foreign country based on flawed intelligence and a bad decision-making process, we'll blame them. Until then, it's on your boy.

--President Bill Clinton, Feb. 17, 1998

No ifs, ands, or buts; President Clinton said Iraq had a weapons of mass destruction program that represented a threat....

But Timmyboy says it is all a lie, promoted by Bush (Bush would become president until 2001)...that is three years after the above Clinton statement.

Followed up by Clinton's national security adviser Berger on the same day:

"He will use those weapons of mass destruction again, as he has ten times since 1983."
--Sandy Berger, Clinton National Security Adviser, Feb, 18, 1998

But Timmyboy thinks Bush made up this script as well..................
