Well sorry for jumping head first into this. But I think they're telling you not to cheat since you are overly worried about your wife finding out you're taking toll roads. From the two pages I read there seems to be some good advice about just avoiding them but you already said you don't want to do that.

Also I drive through Dallas a lot and have yet to run into a toll. Maybe my GPS just avoids them automatically.
