Two polls catnipdipper; Gallup 24%, Pew 18%
Of course the interesting thing is that someone is willing to pay for a poll to find out about the religion of the president of the United States. When was the last time this happened?
Elena I'm sorry but who is this Bush Jr.? I've heard of Obama Jr. and Gore Jr. but there is no Bush Jr. However George W. Bush is the son of George H.W. Bush but he is no junior.

I'm with Lacrew and Rquinng on this one. How could anyone think he's a Muslim after all the crap that was thrown at him on the Reverend Wright deal?
I think there is relevance in there references to George Bush in this thread.

Galt,
You really need to ask that question of me? Many people have referred to the second Pres. Bush as Bush Jr., including myself.

I will say this only because this is the dumbest thread in a long time. The GOP is making a mistake, while it may be rallying the base, those of us who are independent conservatives, are starting to get a sour taste for the GOP. Instead of finding every little bullshit thing to bring up to attack Obama, they should be beating the wood pile, burning the midnight oil trying to find someone to run against him. The current crop of GOP potential candidates will not beat him no matter how much crap they throw against the wall to see if it sticks. If the GOP has to count on trying to prove he is a musilim to beat him then they are going to lose anyway. I agree with Elena, while I may disagree with most of his positions, I respect the office of President and find these attacks on Obama just as distasteful as those on George Bush.
Mr. Galt stop being an ass, you knew who she was refering to, many people look at GW as a Jr. I swear most of the time, when I think of you I see a pile of poop with eyes, not saying your a pile of poop with eyes, just saying what my minds eye see's.

I believe in accuracy. Let me ask you did the press refer to Albert Gore Jr. as junior? Did the press refer to Barack Obama Jr. as junior? They did not even thought those two people were indeed juniors. So I guess your position is if the press does it then it must be okay for me to do it too. So if everyone else jumped into a full septic tank would you do it too? I don't let the press do my thinking for me and if thinking for myself is being as "ass" then I guess I am. What does that make you my friends?
DD; Gallup and Pew don't do polls unless they think there is a question to be answered. It is not a GOP thing or a democrat thing. FYI, the birther thing... it came from the Hillary camp during the primary season. The press blames a lot of things on the GOP but the truth is stranger still.

Cheaper you have to have the full name of your father to be a junior. If you have the full name of your grandfather then you are a II, If are the fourth member of your clan to have the name then you are Tom Cruise.
I don't know why is so important that you have to falsely accuse George Bush of being a junior but you do. After all George W. Bush is the son of a war hero but that still does not make him a junior. Why would being George H W Bush's son be a bad thing? Please explain that.

You know galt your the one making the issue, you started this stupidity when you "corrected" Elena. So dont try to push this off on everyone else like there some conspiracy to call him Jr, no one is accusing him of anything you dimwit, if you were the son of a prostitute does that make you a whore? Not saying your the son of a prositute, just asking if it would make you one. Seriously man your like a Herpe, you pop up, irratate and you wont go away.

What I see are people hijacking my thread by maintaining the falsehood about a man that is not even part of the discussion. So go back to that person.
There is no test for religion in this country but what about a person who lies about such a thing? Another problem with muslims (and a few other religions) is that they are encouraged to lie to infidels, and they can not take an oath to anyone but only in the name of Allah. Obama took his oath on a BIBLE and not the Koran. If he was a muslim then the oath becomes meaningless. Of course many christian representatives have violated their oaths on a daily basis. I am proud to say that I was in the navy and I took an oath. It was not just a few words that I said. I took it very seriously.
I have nothing against Elena but I do wish the gratuitous attacks would stop.
Sigh*** after reading this I suppose I have to write that GW Bush is far from my favorite president. He allowed the border to be open, his choices for courts were suspect, and he could have prosecuted the war in Afghanistan so much better. If you were to mischaracterize Lincoln I would still point out the error.

No one cares what you think of GW bush, just as nobody but you far right dimwits cares if he is Muslim, Jewish, Atheist or any other religion. Who are you to point out anyone's error, your the dumbass that still has not got a degree after 200 + credit hours and your going to correct other people. Seriously dude, why dont you go to the other board and bother them for a while, cause no one, and I mean no one cares what you got to say here.
