It doesn't 'cause' anything, and the rest is too long to go into, but you can do an internet search or go to Web MD for what you need to know; or search discussions on here about it. Short answer is there are two primary viruses. One is sexually transmitted, the other not, with specific rare exceptions, such as oral sex and sores.

I do my best to make sure my breath is as fresh as possible. However, that's merely general courtesy to a provider imho. As crazy as it may sound to some, kissing has intellectual and emotional components for me. If I connect with a provider on a deeper, intellectual or emotional level then kissing might enhance the experience.
