Keep in mind when I'm there, that I've been in MUCH worse places in Mexico. I learned a long time ago that if I'm not looking for trouble and don't look like some scared gringo, then I've never had trouble. I've hung out in bars in Nuevo Laredo, Ojinaga, and Juarez that are cartel strongholds -- each time I was ignorant of the situation until later -- without the least bit of trouble. Probably lucky, but I do believe that not appearing nervous makes a difference because the bad guys don't know what to make of me.

That's a fine approach until you run into one that's drunk and jealous/ticked off because you talked to a girl he likes or are hogging the attention of the girls. The "never had a problem" only works until you have a problem, and in a place like this, it can be a very dangerous or deadly problem....especially a white guy in the place with money in his pocket.

If you risk it, good luck, and I hope you have a blast and continue to stay safe, but I wouldn't do it myself.

I agree, sir. Attitude makes a big difference. And you can find trouble anywhere; this is Ft. Worth, not Cartagena or Kuwait.

I've been in that situation a few times, too. I just avoid those situations as much as possible. I don't go to crowded places late at night when guys are more likely to be drunk. I've learned to be VERY aware of my surroundings and have a good idea who is watching me. Getting on the good side of the patrons and the staff makes a big difference , too, as they will often have your back -- especially since most don't care for drunks messing up the place either. And if anything seem to be the least bit of concern, I leave ASAP.

There are lots of little things I've picked up over the last 15 years of doing a lot of overseas travel in Latin America. My biggest concern these days is having the locals think I'm with law enforcement such as DEA in South America. (I've been asked that a few times.) I also don't do ANYTHING with drugs, either, and limit my activities to alcohol (minimal) and women.

The truth is, unless it's a known gang or criminal hangout, just about everyone there are normal working guys there for the same reason as me.

I can sure understand the concern, though. I've walked into some places and walked right out again a few times. I'm curious to go Little Mexico now. May have to check that place out soon so if I disappear from eccie, you'll know something bad happened!

Sorry for bringing back this thread but I wanted to update you guys on the bar. The ladies only dance after 10:30 PM on Friday/Sat/Sun. A few stragglers will be there on the weekdays. I went last night and found something awesome. At 11 PM they switched from Spanish music to hip hop and all the dancers stripped down to there thongs. They moved a few chairs onto the dance floor and lap dances for tips were to be had. I got a 2 song lap dance for about 10 bucks. None of the girls were very open for OTC last night but some of you guys might have a better shot. There were about 10 girls there last night, a few 8s maybe 9s. The average were 7s. Good looking latinas. I might be going back tonight.

Only drawback is the price for drinks, 4 dollar domestics, 4 dollar waters, 4 dollar sodas. You also get searched for weapons as you eneter so that might be a plus.

I assume the girls were not topless, though, probably a bikini top or something similar? what about roaming hands during a lap dance? is that permissable, or not recommended? did you attempt OTC last night? did anyone else there get OTC that you could see? how many guys got lap dances? no Gringos present last night?

No Gringos, All the girls spoke English, I did not stay until 2 am to see if any of the ladies left home with a guy. I decided to go to Fantasy Ranch ( Awful looking women, not a 5 among them). I only saw about 5 guys getting dances, the ladies were not topeless and I didn't see any roaming hands other than myself lol. I'm going to go back tonight and maybe try another spot down the street that had a sign outside that had written in spanish "The Best Looking Dancers In Town" Dont remember the name of the place but it was North of Long on Main Street.

This would make a heck of a "guy's night out."

I got tired of strip clubs 10 years ago, but this is something "more" (or less, but it's definitely different). I also gave up on the hobbyist social scene a long time ago. But I might be interested in joining a group outing to this joint if y'all wanted to go in numbers. With or without me, y'all might wanna think about doing it. This has definitely peaked my interest. It's reminiscent of a couple bars/clubs that I went to in San Antonio back in the '90's (sorry, guys, don't recall for the life of me the names of those places) where anything went in the little rooms around back. It was way cool, and way different.

No topless tonite, but it was interesting to see the 2 girls there tonite strip down to their panties in the middle o the bar... And shake those big ole booties.

It's not that bad of a place at all... Won't win any prizes for decor, but not a bad / cheap way to kill an hour or so. The older waitress didn't speak English, but did take the time to see if I had left my lights on in the parking lot.

A younger bar girl who spoke English said to come back fri / sat when there's more girls....they did have some free fajitas if you we're drinking ( Sundays)

If I get the time ill give it another try.

The weekends usually have about 8 to 10 girls dancing in their panties, Most of the girls are just old enough to drink, If they are not 21, they usually have a soda in their hands. I would say that most of the girls are 8's. Don;t speak to the older ones, they tend to be rude and fat/ugly, they usually don't dance. A guys night out to this place would be great, lots of fun to be had at this bar, some girls are up for OTC. Use your hobby skills to figure out which ones are willing to play.

Sounds a lot like my favorite club in Matamoros.

There used to be some near NW Hwy / Bachman Lake, but have no idea if they are still around.
