It wasn't like this in the beginning. Before she was fun loving and easy going. As we get older though, I believe our personalities become more extreme of who we are. If you're kind of an asshole, the older you get the more of an asshole you become.

She was always a little neurotic, but over the years that's become worse and worse. I also think me getting a good job made things worse. I remember us living paycheck to paycheck and just fucking like bunnies all the time, probably because we had nothing better to do.

Now I make over 100k a year, and our sex life has dwindled significantly. But yeah, something has to change because I'm not happy. It's why I'm trying to lose weight. I can say that despite an overwhelming urge to get into the hobby, I have thus far restrained. Don't get me wrong, I want to like a man dying of thirst in a desert, but it's a barrier I just can't seem to mentally cross, at least not yet. There are so many amazing women on these forums, lovely in so many ways, that I feel tempted every day to call any one of them, but thus far I've kept it in my pants.

We'll see how long I last. Heck, maybe the wife will notice me losing weight (20 lbs down so far) and that will spark some positive behavior in her. That, or it'll be the final bulb to burn out and she'll snap like Bruce Banner.

if you have kids, Please! do not think staying married "for the kids sake" is a good idea, its total bullshit!!!

I am a product of two people who frankly should have never married but in 1967 it was not to cool having kids out of wedlock especially in small town America...fast forward 36 years later my Mother finally divorced my Father and after that things were great between them...

so do yourself a favor and get divorced and start your life over, its never to late to change

This reminds me of my brother's marriage. They've been together for something like 8 years, and you can tell just by looking at him that he's miserable. She basically runs his life, brings down his self esteem, and keeps him under a constant state of guilt. The weird thing is she seems perfectly happy with the way things are. Hell, outside of their marriage she's really a sweet girl.

Everytime I look at their relationship I'm reminded of the fact that I don't want to be in one of my own. I have no intention of ever getting married, and my family just can't understand why.
