I simply put professional webworker and blogger down as my profession and have for a long, long time. EVERY ESCORT who does this should pay taxes. You want to save money for the future and have an IRA or a ROTH IRA, have and be able to show a decent income and have good credit, LEARN about finances ( take classes on it if you have to), learn to invest it. Then you can buy property and invest further. It's what I did.

Yah her husband doesn't KNOW. That kind of stress, lying to my hubby, would be enough for me to want to quit, seriously. I couldn't do it. But to each their own. I hope whatever happens she finds a safe place to put her money stash.

That would be all well and fine but the OP's provider friend's husband does not know she is an escort. It would be kind of strange to all of the sudden tell the husband let's file separately, wouldn't it? SHE needs to conceal the income from him.

Yes. I'm very aware . Truly sad that most don't pay taxes but ya know what? None of my business. A wise man once told me "In america, there's no such thing as free lunch".

What's the big deal??? She lies to every man she sees. What is such a big deal if she lies to just one more man? It's become a habit, and that's the way a lot of women treat men.

She could make her deposits more regular, it's much easier to explain extra income if it's deposited more regularly like a paycheck.
Deposit the same amount each time, and have a "story" ready for the inevitible day when he asks the questions.
He more apt to believe the story if the deposits are the same amount each time and jive with the tale.
Secondly a home safe or a bank safe deposit box, keep the extra money in there so one can still make the regular deposits without breaks in the frequency.
And so she has some of her own should her "story" blow up and the hubby seizes everything in the bank...........
While keeping her job a secret may not be the best idea, a lot of girls apparently do just that.
She should also prepare herself for the day he does find out. It may never happen but at least she won't be stammering and trying to figure out a story on the spot.

If her husband ever found out, it would be a lot worse to lie to him than to the men she sees, don't you think?

The regular delivery of condoms by the gross may be a clue.

Charles baby.there is a difference........she is lying to her "soulmate"...the man she is supposed to spend the rest of her life with/have kids with/etc
From a personal experience,I can say that honesty in a marriage is a very sacred thing!

It's one thing to fib to clients I suppose, it's a whole different story to deceive your soulmate. Again, not saying this to judge, just giving my opinion. I could never lie to a person I loved, that's for sure. It's why I'm single. Most men are never going to be accepting of my profession, but I won't lie to them either. Ideally a man needs to be informed of and wholly accept my profession for me to consider dating him, let alone marrying him!
I hope this lady finds the right advice and chooses wisely as to what to do.

Ava, on that note, if you were still escorting and married, would you let your partner seek out other providers, so long as he is up front about it?

Learn to launder your money or at least a portion. That is generally what brings down the largest of those in our business. Pay taxes...government doesn't like it when you steal from them...being a prostitute is second and much farther down the line then if you are making money and not claiming it.
Working while you SO does not know that you are could be disastrous and a woman's husband was just convicted of killing her and she was a provider. You just never know what may make someone snap. :-(
