If it is understood that this is not a meet and fuck, orgy, ho stroll pagent, then I think it would be okay, yes I am changing my position a little. As was stated earlier, dinner and drinks would not pose any harm.

I believe in the right venue, organized by the right people, it would be something that could be considered . . . I'm working on putting something together as a "starting point" for private discussions (talking points) to advance the proposition.

Agreed...the right setting, with the right folks, would be outstanding.
Drinks are ok...but in moderation
If there is anything I can do to help out...if I make the cut...please let me know
That would include any financial contribution to help cover out of pocket costs

Well, Elena if you have one, I better get an invite. Otherwise you might force me to turn to country music "there's a tear in my beer" and for me that would be a fate worse than death.
Besides I'm stocked up on Moscato.

I would also be very interested as long as it was kept in a private setting. When I saw M&G I simply assumed it would be in home, or hotel where rooms were available for encounters. I wouldn't be opposed to this as long as I knew everyone there was legit. However, I am still new to the scene and it appears still somewhat naive so take that as it is.
The point being I would like to be go to a M&G some time.

No encounters happen at M&G no matter the location. No discussion of encounters happen at M&G. Big no no.
In case LE did happen to make it in somehow, that's enough for them to bust everyone. Then they'll tell you smile for cameras.

Now I find myself in agreement with MsElena.
I have been around too many police. The off duty conversations have touched on how much planning and joy is involved in "getting them guys". The mentality is that they are the good guys, and everyone else is bad. "Let's get em." LE is important for society, but the attitude sometimes really scares me. Any open discussion invites trouble.
I once attended a quite meeting in a home with 50 people. There was only one person speaking at a time, very quiet. The police showed up wanting to know why so many people were assembled.
I was one of two guys who answered the door. There was nothing they could do when they looked through the door and saw a packed room, everyone sitting, no alcohol, and no noise. They were really pissed when we did not tell them what the meeting was about. When they asked what the meeting was about, I just told them is was a private matter. When they repeated the question, I repeated that it was a very private matter. Be polite, but be careful. The problem with open meetings is that some idiot with a loud mouth may show up.
"Freedom to assemble" is contained in the First Amendment to the Constitution. The first item in our Bill of Rights.

JR, that just burns me to no end hearing your story. I applaud how you handled it. I would not have been as diplomatic as you with those jackbooted Nazi Gestapo tardos. People in general have no idea how much erosion our courts and elected representatives have let or actively caused to happen with respect to our rights and freedoms in the last 11 years all with the idea of good intentions, but we all know what path that paved. One day we will look back and say, we used to be free. That day isn't far off at the current rate.
