You need to study how the agriculture sector became what it is today, with the various government programs...instead of your simpleton statements and request for yes or no response.

American agricultural production is the envy of the world.

I am not going to proceed with a tit for tat with you. Study the history

Now back to Trump. A meeting of Xi and Trump is supposedly taking place Nov 1.

Hope Trump doesn't do any more stupid things till then. He is under a lot of pressure so he doesn't have to swallow the $ 10 billion

amusing so if the US Ag sector is the envy of the world is that directly due to billions of US subsidies for decades? this actually sounds like what China has done and the former USSR failed to do.

we've pumped TRILLIONS into our Ag market since the 1960's

prove that wrong

Study the history of "why" government programs were created.

Now...would you like to get back on topic ?

I already mentioned to you this thread will not be another one you turn into a "title for tat" exercise

Makes no sense, but thank you for your opinion valued poster.

Now back to the topic. There have been no soybeans exports to China since May.

Very simple to figure out the reason.

And Trump created a need for a $ 10 billion subsidy. You don't appear to be fond of subsidies

so after 50 years of the farm industry sucking off the Gov subsidy teat it's resetting this is somehow Trump's fault?

Yes it is. He single handedly caused the need for a $ 10 billion assistance to the soybean farmers.

Prove me wrong. Did he impose tariffs on China, and since then, China has purchased 0 soybeans from the USA.

yes or no

yes it's that simple
Perhaps it's Trumps problem to solve. Actually he was the one who allowed the Monsanto / Bayer merger creating a monopoly within the farming industry. Why do we need to prop up a monopoly? I guess the guy who couldn't run a casino- can't make good decisions when it comes to regulations and tariffs on shit he knows nothing about!!!

Is China a bad actor- for sure, but strong arming them only adds to the pain at home- THey took their ball and went to another field to play. We FORCED them to do that.

In a delicate balance of crops / sales / homesteading / and keeping farming a fruitful business that isn't sent away- you need to keep them both practical, and also profitable. You can't increase one tariff area and not have it influence others in retaliation. I'm sure Trump saying 100% tariffs and then settling on 20 was a plan, but he didn't see the collateral damage to the domestic farmers at the time. Now it's clean up on aisle 4. These billions of dollar payoffs could have been avoided totally and the billions used for not just one group- but the entirety of Americans. Billions to offset medical expenses, infrastructure or other things - NOT just for one group. I get that farming is very expensive and needed by every person- but they are self made crisis by this president specifically.

Farmstud, you obviously know the real deal in how all this benefits you, the farmers, and america as a whole.

Let us in on this "concept of a plan" maggies have. PLEASE!

No reason to request replies from farmstud. He is what he is.

The replies by Trump since Friday make no sense. He caused all this. And it is clear he does not want to swallow the $ 10 billion. He just started this rhetoric after that news cam out.
Come on VM. You know the maggie playbook of misdirection. And you also know they REALLY love it when you call them out on it. You constantly see it and people get a laugh when the Huaco one tries to scramble from being asked to address what he post that is BS. That is because, like another maggie trait, they can't own up to any mistakes or lies they post.

They go way back to FDR and the 1930s.

I know V doesn’t even know 10% of government ag policy over the last 100 years
