Boeing has a contract to replace Air Force One. What’s the delay?

President Donald Trump’s
confirmation Sunday that the United States may accept a presidential aircraft gifted from Qatar marked the latest escalation in his clash with Boeing, which is years behind on its government contract to build the new Air Force One.
Boeing was supposed to deliver a replacement for Air Force One last year, but significant delays have cost the plane maker billions on the project. They have also drawn ire from the president, who told reporters aboard Air Force One in February that he was “not happy with Boeing” and may purchase a plane elsewhere.
USAF, Boeing May Modify Air Force One Requirements to Get Delivery by 2027

Boeing is way behind on their contract. if they had delivered one new plane last year do you think any of this would be happening now? Trump is playing Boeing to make their damn plane faster. how long does it take for a jetliner anyway? even with the extra military hardware.
one presumes Boeing has a frame started and it's a matter of finishing it out so Boeing needs to take this as exactly what it is .... a call to arms by Trump to get the plane finished. Boeing's rep is tarnished recently, they subcontracted out modules (a US based source btw) and this caused several of their recent incidents .. like hatches blowing off in flight.
amusing many of you assume TDS grift when the truth is Boeing dropped the ball.
