Opinion | Trump’s supporters do not regret their vote. Not even now.

Sun, May 4, 2025 at 5:00 AM CDT

A noticeable contingent of Kamala Harris voters has spent this year demanding that people who didn’t vote for her — whether for Donald Trump or another candidate — admit to a mistake that’s not only hurting the country but is hurting (or will hurt) them, too. Social media feeds are filled with people citing the latest Trump outrage and mockingly asking Trump voters, “Did you vote for this?!”

There’s been a new category of schadenfreude-inducing stories focused on Trump voters who’ve lost their federal job, had a loved one snatched by ICE or significantly suffered during the first few months of the administration. On top of that, some recent polls have found that Trump’s approval rating is below 40%. However, in the main, the Trump voter with buyer’s remorse is a mythical character not unlike, say, the moderate Republican.

The Public Religion Research Institute conducted a poll of more than 5,000 adults across 50 states between Feb. 28 and March 20 and found that 92% of Trump voters are satisfied with their vote. More than that, the PRRI poll finds that just about everybody who voted in November is satisfied with their decision, including 95% of Harris voters and 85% of people who voted third party. (PRRI reports a 1.69-point margin of error for its national survey.)

But PRRI’s poll is consistent with a poll released April 14 by the University of Massachusetts Amherst that found that only 2% of Trump voters polled answered yes to “I regret my vote and would vote differently if I could.” And both those polls are consistent with a survey The New York Times conducted among a focus group last month that found that none of the 13 independent voters who voted for Trump in November regrets not voting for Harris.

I suggest everyone read the article.

excellent article. it confirms what many here already knew, Trump's base isn't collapsing, far from it. which reduces this to a redundant TDS nonsense thread. like all the rest.

bahahahaaa

amusing. given your pretext here you're sayin' you want only polls you like not those you don't. also only opinions you approve. interesting.

Well, thanks, txdot for finding a poll that was concluded on 3/20. A lot has changed since then but now you gave the Trump simpletons new life to jump all over how awesome their master is.

Anyway, still waiting on a credible link to dispute anything that has been posted about the actual topic and not about some outdated poll that is now being used by depend sniffers to change the narrative.

Edit for Salty below: Well, I can't say jock sniffers because Trump's fat ass doesn't ever have to wear one, so I thought depends were more accurate for him. Try to stay on topic though because I'm neither here to answer your questions nor assist you with trying to derail this thread.

Don’t worry there is still plenty of time for Trump supporters to come to their senses and throw off their delusions.

Did you read the article in the times.

This Auto Parts C.E.O. Gave Trump’s Tariffs a Chance. Now He’s Not So Sure.

The chief executive of Detroit Axle, which sells car parts that are mostly imported from China, is adjusting his business and hoping for a new trade deal.

“Actually, I am panicking now,” Mr. Musheinesh said last week after paying a 145 percent tariff on a container of new products that had arrived in Detroit from China.

“We’re running into a crisis right now,” said Mr. Musheinesh, whose company has around 400 employees in the United States, plus hundreds more in China, Jordan and Mexico. “It’s going to be a big crisis, and something needs to be done about it” and “we’re not going to be able to import in time to meet the shortages.”

Congratulations. Salty!

You have boldly gone.

Even your preferred sources of info … god only knows what they are … are reporting these leopards eating MAGA faces, and his popularity among classic low information voters is slipping… may already be gone.

https://nymag.com/intelligencer/article/trump-might-already-be-losing-low-information-voters.html

Keep sniffing out those insults, though!

Like they're not passing the cost on to the drivers.

I'm starting to grow mushroom clouds out my ass waiting for the prices to drop.

Default Boy that sucks. Guess she should have thought about the cunt she was voting for

Latina Who Voted for Trump Bursts Into Tears After Learning Her Entire Family Will Be Deported

On Sunday, January 26, U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement arrested 956 people in a nationwide operation. It was the largest number of arrests in a single day since Donald Trump returned to office.

These actions have caused fear among undocumented immigrants. Some are afraid to go to work or even leave their homes.

One of them is Mayra Alejandra Luna, a Mexican woman who shared her story on TikTok. In the video, she cried while explaining that she had trusted Trump during the election and believed he would support Latinos.

“This is crazy, we voted for Trump, we trusted him, his word, what he promised Latinos,” she said.

Luna added that many Latino workers at her job were now staying home because they were afraid of being arrested.

“I hate that I voted for him. Now I fear for my family and their families. We must come together and do something about this,” she said.

The video received more than 100,000 views and over 6,000 comments. Many people criticized Luna, pointing out that Trump had been clear about his immigration policies.

One user wrote, “He’s doing exactly what he said he was going to do,” while other commented “This is exactly what you voted for.” Others showed sympathy, while some saw it as a warning to other voters.

The video surfaced just as the first group of people deported from the U.S. arrived in Colombia, following a recent diplomatic issue.

Trump received about 46 percent of the Latino vote in the last election, according to The Washington Post—a record number for a Republican candidate. But now, but many of those voters are expressing regret as deportations increase.

Another full leopard.

^^^ Unless you are at least a 2nd generation American and you come from a country with people who have brown skin, why the hell would you ever vote for Trump when he told you he was coming for you and yours?

I may have to look up that dipshit's video. Not that I take joy in her despair, but because she got what she voted for so don't cry about what was told to you was coming. Hell, that's one of the very few campaign promises that I actually expected Trump to keep.

Las Vegas small business owner writes to president: ‘We are fighting just to stay afloat"

LAS VEGAS, Nev. (FOX5) - A Las Vegas small business owner is writing President Donald Trump and the White House, daily, about the impact of tariffs on China on small businesses like hers.

As of Thursday, tariffs for goods from China rose to 145%.

Jana Hajiyerou, a former police officer in Colorado, decided with her mother, a long-time hair stylist, to live the American dream: launching her own small business, Pop In Hair Extensions, selling extensions directly to hair stylists.

Like many small businesses, she relies on a manufacturer from China for her products; she cannot afford the shipping costs for another batch of products.

“Businesses like ours need help. We need help surviving in the interim, otherwise we’re going to have to close our doors,” Hajiyerou said. “I love our country and I’m always happy to buy American-made products. But at the end of the day, there are no hair manufacturing companies here,” she said.

In an effort to get her message to the White House, she has emailed a letter, almost daily, explaining the overwhelming challenges her business now faces.

The letter states, in part:

“The tariffs your administration has implemented have placed an overwhelming financial strain on our business. Like many small businesses, we now face the painful reality of raising our prices—something we never wanted to do. Pop In Hair Extension Bar was founded to help stylists grow and expand their own businesses, and we have always prioritized fair and accessible pricing. These tariffs are forcing us into a position where we may no longer be able to uphold that mission.

Every press conference and policy discussion rarely seems to address the struggles of small business owners like myself—women trying to provide for their families and build a future. We voted for you with the hope that you would champion small businesses, yet now, we are fighting just to stay afloat. I urge you to listen to small business owners who are being directly impacted by these policies. We need solutions that protect American entrepreneurs, not policies that make it harder for us to survive.

I sincerely hope you will consider the unintended consequences these tariffs are having on businesses like mine."

Hajiyerou showed FOX5 copies of receipts from a shipping company, showing a surge in fees caused by tariffs: a $30,000 order generated a $2,700 bill.

“We were shocked, and honestly thought it was fraud in the beginning,” she said, learning it was caused by a then-10% tariff.

As tariffs surged, Hajiyerou had to pause the latest order.

“Our inventory is dwindling at a very rapid rate. And so in order for us to restock our inventory and continue to have funds coming in, we need those orders to come in,” she said.

In an effort to get lawmakers to take action, Hajiyerou also reached out to the office of Congresswoman Dina Titus, who released this statement:

“I have always been a strong supporter of women-owned businesses, making sure they get their fair share of Small Business Administration loans and other federal aid. Women-owned businesses comprise nearly one half of the small businesses in Southern Nevada, and I am deeply concerned about the impact of tariffs on these businesses. With the exception of China, the Trump administration has paused tariffs on all nations for 90 days. But this does nothing to relieve the uncertainty women-owned businesses face as they decide whether to hire more employees or make new investments in their businesses. Furthermore, businesses that source their materials from China now are faced with having to raise their prices significantly. The Trump administration’s trade policy driven by high tariffs will only hurt small businesses and their consumers.”

Fuck her. Maybe drumpf can use her hair extensions.
