Antisocial Personality Disorder (ASPD)
Key Diagnostic Criteria for ASPD (according to the DSM-5-TR):
Failure to conform to social norms: This includes repeated acts that are grounds for arrest.
Deceitfulness: Repeatedly lying or conning others for personal gain or pleasure.
Impulsivity: Failure to plan ahead or act without considering consequences.
Irritability and aggression: Repeated physical fights or assaults.
Reckless disregard for safety: Disregarding the safety of oneself or others.
Irresponsibility: Repeated failure to sustain consistent work behavior or honor financial obligations.
Lack of remorse: Being indifferent to or rationalizing having hurt, mistreated, or stolen from another.
Important Considerations:
The diagnosis of ASPD requires the presence of at least three of these symptoms.
the official name for sociopathy is antisocial personality disorder. other than actual fighting, Trump fits the profile to a T..
and your question doesn't actually make sense. here's why. one can get a degree in psychology at the usual levels. but psychologists do not do residencies. but assuming you meant psychiatry, there is no such thing as a "psychiatry degree." instead, you get a post-bach degree of MD or DO. in that case, after that, yes you would apply for and do a residency in psychiatry. but not after a "psych" degree.
am i nitpicking? no. how you use language and frame issues can provide great insight into whether someone knows what they're talking about, or not.
