Jeffrie Lurie never had any intentions of declining the invitation. He didn’t make it mandatory. I doubt any owner has. But most of the organization was there. I have no idea where the OP came up with his information.


Lurie described the visit as a “time-honored tradition” and an “obvious choice” for the organization. “We just felt this is a time-honored tradition, being invited by the White House,” Lurie said. “There was no reticence whatsoever. To be celebrated at the White House is a good thing.”
