Yep. I would stay away from sketchy clubs. I don’t know that cops will be looking to bust guys at one of the more upscale joints, but if they can tie it to a place that’s not looking too closely at the age of the dancers, you bet they would be happy to add a load of cheap felonies to the more serious violations.

My first thought on the law is that Texas needs to elect actual libertarians instead of these frauds who strut around their districts falsely claiming to be libertarians because the name sounds cool.

On a lighter note, I look for this law to be like marijuana laws in the sense that it may eventually lead to either legalization or at least decriminalization. I can already see some overzealous police department and prosecutor somewhere in Texas doling out the felonies for handjobs like they're candy and crowing from the rooftops that they are protecting society and the public realizing how stupid it is to destroy lives over something so petty and that these departments and prosecutors are ignoring ACTUAL crimes so that they can focus on petty shit like this. Its doubtful that their "but trafficking" lies are going to hold up much longer either. Once lives begin being ruined I see the public eventually demanding that they deal with trafficking separately and stop using it as an excuse to destroy the lives of two consenting adults.
