Gentlemen,
There is a distinction between "gun clubs" providing firearms training and "public schools" providing firearms training. I'm not familiar with states other than Texas with respect to public school curriculum.

But generally speaking with some rural area exceptions (I suspect) the character and attitude of today's public school teachers from which the principals and VPs are selected would have a serious issue with the OFFICIAL facilitation of firearms training of their students TODAY.

They are apparently more interested in helping and/or enticing their students in accepting how racist the U.S. IS TODAY and HOW IMPORTANT IT IS FOR YOUNG PEOPLE to be able to enjoy the gender they select for the day.

Learning about firearms should be one of those tasks for parents. I'm familiar with firearm training. Like I posted .... Driver's education has been around for a long time associated with public schools ... 60 plus years ... the driving experience and records of newly departed students from public schools doesn't reflect successful programs nationwide ... and my general observation when driving about reflects that "growing up" doesn't help either. I would not want those idiots armed.

RB ... "safety" and "marksmanship" is not effective for preparing a public school student for defending themselves and/or others in or out of school. I doubt most are adequately mature to accept the responsibility of sound judgment and effective behavior. I've seem plenty of public school graduates who weren't ... in automobiles either.
