Agreed Tiny - the second Amendment :The Second Amendment of the United States Constitution reads: "A well regulated Militia, being necessary to the security of a free State, the right of the people to keep and bear Arms, shall not be infringed."



State law - may vary some - but gives people the right to protect themselves and their property from attack - prticularly with deadly force.

I would define a Molotov cocktail as deadly force.

A liberal -leaning nut case ( as in Seattle) who comes into my neighborhood with molotov cocktails - which is prima facie intent to use deadly force against property and homes and people - deserves a prompt and pre-emptive response to protect the people and property of the neighborhood - and that response is deadly force.

Whether or not a molotov cocktail throwing crazed Liberal is anything else - they are criminals.



And - I will happily take my chances in that Hypothetical situation with a Texas Grand Jury.

Unlike in Seattle - where a homeowner has no right to protect themselves against anarchist Liberal terrorists.

Basically true. Nobody wants to shoot anybody, even if they are a liberal. Actually it is more covered under State law as to what is acceptable to shoot. In my state, discernment pretty much falls into the imminent threat of harm category. We are not required to ask a bunch of touchy-feely questions or do warnings or warning shots. Being uninvited in your home is defensible reasoning if you feel endangered.

A riotous mob, hellbent on destruction, creates a whole other level of concern. As such, a mob, descending onto your property would be considered a high risk factor. A mob with rioting, looting and pillaging would be super high on that defend-able list. However, at that point one would be prudent to consider the venerable and quite reliable pairing of OO-buck and a pumper.

The .308 is better suited for longer range discouragement or redirection pursuits - IMHO. EX: when you see the pillaging hoard come down your hillside from having just sacked the previous hamlet, which you can see burning - nothing says; Hey fellas, let's take a Left turn here instead of continuing to that home site down the hill quite like the .308, except maybe a 50 cal or 300 WinMag, but they are kinda pricey to acquire and operate.

Otherwise, I'm all good with peaceful protests as an integral part of our society. I also notice that my state is starting gun shows back up now. I wonder if the "peaceful protest" mobs of rioters plan to protest there and loot them.
