DWIs are particularly disqualifying on a moral basis.
MADD probably isn't going to give Beto their endorsement.

The DWI incident happened many years ago, more than 20 to be exact. He was about 26 at the time. I hate to admit but there are several times I would have been considered intoxicated if stopped while driving. I no longer drink and drive. Hopefully O'Rourke has taken the same path I have and if so, I would not hold that DWI against him.

More like lead feet. Even of he can take tlone or two punches, he won't be able to move out of the way of the knockout blow of when ALL the embarrassing details of his transgressions are plastered on prime time TV ads.
"Is he a drunk who doesn't have enough control not to drive drunk or does he just not care if he hurts people while driving intoxicated. "
That's the first ad.
Anyone wanna take a stab at the second?

You're not his issue, Speed. It's the guys who didn't voted for Trump because they felt Clinton was morally void. Whether it's true or not, the right succeeded in painting her that way and people either voted for Trump or stayed home. Those are the votes Beto needs but won't get.

If you expect the left will get a pass for something their candidate did in his 20s -- evident from substantive police reports -- after what they did to Kavanaugh for something they claimed -- without evidence -- he did in his teens, you're sadly mistaken.

IB, I don't believe it will be vindictive. It wont be a gotcha back for Kavanaigh moment. There are lots of people who will take issue with a person who not only has a DWI, but a burglary as well, becoming president.
People should get second chances. They don't necessarily get to become President.

Yes, but if the field doesn't get any better soon, Hilary may begin to think she has a shot and decide to run.
They REALLY need to get their shit straight before that happens. There's only one thing worse than 4 more years of Trump.... 4 more years of Trump because they let that crazy person run again.

The guy is likeable. He inspires others. He is a tireless campaigner. I don't agree with all his political views and I think he needs to become more astute politically but I would advise others not to discount him in the future.

This guy is a radical left winger...please link to ANYTHING that he isn't FARRRR left on!!
Radical left wingers DON"T win Presidential elections!!

Trump will need those voters to come back to him in order to win in 2020.
Personally, I would hate to see a 3rd party candidate enter the 2020 race.

You seem to discount the PV vs electoral college.
Thirty state favored Trump and hellerys vote totals came from the populated left coast and Northeast major populated areas...heartland America won for Trump...thankfully mob rule doesn't prevail in this constitutional republic!!
Now it will be your job and the job of the MSM to convince heartland America that Trump is the devil incarnate.
