This unfortunate incident is what happens too frequently in a country that decides to treat sex workers not only as criminals, but a Federal felons (check the penalties portion of the FOSTA / SESTA Act).


When you drive a perfectly normal human activity underground you then loose any control over it, and organizations and individuals who are comfortable move in and start to control the "action".


As upset as many of you appear to be, have any of you picked up your phone and called your Congress Representatives? Your Senators? The Attorney General? What are you doing to repeal FOSTA/SESTA and decriminalize the "hobby" like every other Western Democracy has since...... forever?


Because of the current political climate, I have chosen to do the majority of my hobbying outside of the US. I cannot describe how different it is - in all positive ways. Fees are openly posted on web sites, ladies are not afraid to discuss specific activities before meeting, established ladies all know each other and have no problems giving references... it's just CIVILIZED. I'm not saying it's all sweetness and light, organized crime tries to take its share, but overall, hobbying has 300% less stress on all parties involved.


The average provider I meet up with is either a post-graduate student (they have no problem showing you college ID), or a more mature lady that understands my particular preferences.


Sex workers get free STD tests, all the condoms they can carry, and counseling for various issues that crop up in the hobby. All paid for, along with their health care for life.


The ladies in the famous Red Light District in Amsterdam traditionally didn't have to report their earnings or pay income tax until about 5 years ago!


There are greener pastures. But if I save up and spend one week a year overseas with non-stop (fill in the blank), it still won't even come close to the good money I have lost in the US to ladies on (forbidden topic), "managed" ladies, and just plain rip-offs.


There is s better way for all concerned. We just prefer to tear each other down, rather than attack the real criminal element - the crooked legislators who get paid a lot of secret PAC money to ensure that sex workers will stay sex slaves.


No sex worker should be shot to death by a "trick", but in Texas, we actually have laws that protect the "trick" - look them up.

How do you know that she's even a thief? Because your comrade in arms Mr. Murder One says so? How naive.

What if he kept her overtime or took liberties that were off-menu or an upcharge and she demanded compensation?

Your vigilante justice idea would be chilling to the hobby because it would open the doors to any psycho demanding bareback, greek, etc. at gunpoint with the full force and credit of the criminal justice system behind him.

Probably also chilling to your prospects for finding a date on this site, but then sometimes the trash takes itself out.

Not helpful to let this thread veer into politics or it will likely be closed, which is probably the poster's intent. He's talked himself into a corner with his not-so-veiled threats of physical violence. So a thread hijack is no surprise.

It's doubtful that any reasonable person has concluded that this killer's actions were justified, since there's no indication of a threat to the killer's life. The killer admitted that it was all about the Benjamins, hence the murder one charges.
