illegal Cubans are fleeing oppression & tyranny from a communist govt.
illegal Mexicans & other Latin Americans are fleeing poverty, crime and corruption from socialist/capitalist govts.
The "distinction" has more to do with the legal assessment of status than it does country of origin ... although I take issue with the phrase "illegal Mexicans," because many, if not most, of those "dark people" coming across our Southern border are not "Mexican Nationals." They may claim to be, because if they get sent back they will only be returned to Mexico, so they don't have to travel so far and cross the Southern Mexico border again!
In all this back and forth I hope it's not being "lost" that at one time much of the Southwestern United States, if not all of it, was considered part of "Mexico" by virtue of being owned by Spain.
Going back to the OP (which had nothing to do with Mexicans, legal or otherwise), this is about Obama waiting until the last second and pulling the proverbial rug out from under a number of desperate people trying to escape the tyranny of Cuba. They're royally fucked now. Mexico won't keep them around and they'll be sent back to Raul's prisons. The same people who attacked Trump for inconveniencing about 100 Middle Eastern nationals happily forget what their feckless leader did only a couple of weeks ago. Why are we vetting Middle Eastern people? Terrorism. Why did we stop allowing Cubans in? You'll have to ask Obama that question but it wasn't terrorism.
Illegals are illegals regardless of their country of origin as far as i am concerned.
Not much difference that or the Coast Guard intercepting some wet feet and sending them back.
No need to pursue this any further we will not agree.
In case you missed it one of the last things that President Obama did before leaving on an extended vacation was to end our policy of accepting Cuban refugees and escapees. The last word is that nearly 300 Cubans were waiting in Mexico for that last bit of their journey to freedom and Obama shuts them down. Back they go to the remaining Castro ghoul for prison. Compare this to Trump;
We're told a little over a hundred refugees from terrorist nations got sent back from whence they came. Were they terrorists? We don't know but we couldn't be sure of anything. The press, the left, the democrats are outraged that Trump would do this to people but for the Cubans....silence and we know that there were no terrorists among the Cubans.
Why does the left (that means democrats, press, and activists) hate Hispanic people sooooo much?
as opposed to the Middle Eastern refugees
These come from Homeland Security and are as of Tues.
More People Were Affected by Travel Ban Than Trump Initially Said
Video Homeland Security Defends Trump's Immigration Ban
John F. Kelly, the secretary of homeland security, defended President Trump's executive order on immigration on Tuesday. "This is not a travel ban; this is a temporary pause," Mr. Kelly said.

WASHINGTON — A far larger number of people were affected by President Trump’s executive order on refugees than he initially said, Department of Homeland Security officials acknowledged on Tuesday.
Mr. Trump posted on Twitter that only 109 people were detained or denied entry into the United States after his order, but during a news briefing at the Customs and Border Protection agency’s headquarters on Tuesday, officials said that 721 people had been denied boarding for the United States after it began enforcing the travel ban. The agency said it processed waivers for 1,060 green card holders, and an additional 75 waivers granted to immigrant visa and nonimmigrant visa holders.
Homeland security officials said the White House was referring to the number of people who were either detained or denied boarding during the initial hours after the travel ban was signed, a total based on preliminary calculations.

100, 300, 3000 or even 3,000,000 I don't really care. Taking in refugees is wrong, it places us at risk. We are talking about people from nations that have chanted death to America since the 50's. More important and I think most of you will agree, we have plenty of our own to focus our life-saving efforts on. Before we try to save a bunch of people who wants us destroyed lets take care of Americans, especially the vets.
I love how you and your bitch react to news articles. You launch threads based on alternative facts. Then you throw a tantrum when someone disagrees with you or updates. I'm full of shit because you get your information from tweets and youtube? Wrong.
Don't take it out on me because youpopped another colostomy bag.
You should be used to it by now.
Yea! There are about 1.5 BILLION Muslims in the World!!!!!!! Good thing you pointed out the difference between 109 and 1,500,000,000. Just another meaningless piece of information that has nothing to do with the subject at hand. There could be a trillion Muslims but , for the purpose of the article, if they didn't try to travel here then they weren't affected by it.
They are "banned" from coming here for 90 and 120 days! Time frames that may be extended. Another tidbit that has nothing to do with the thread. Hey there. You're good at increasing your post count without saying anything
Then they can come! Right? (Oh, move over dipshit and make space!)[A finale trickle of slag from your attempt at being relevant.
What a drag when you "know" you're too big for the kid's table and we both know you're nowhere near being ready for the big people's table.
Try going on a mission or maybe some kind of quest for a couple of years
