I think Chuck is regretting leaving Louisville. He could have potientally been in the running for the final four if he would have stayed but instead he on the hottest of seats for shit coaching, hiring, and etc. if Texas would have waited one more year w Mack they could have gotten a far more experienced coach in the big conferences. Either way, looking at ou, tcu, Baylor and ksu it looks like more of the "weve got to do better comments"

Today was 2nd week in a row the national announcers commented on how confused the Texas defense looks. Not set for the snap, running into each other a la Larry, Moe, and Curly, and terrible tackling. The tackling issue is really hard to understand. Great athletes who've been playing football since they were 12 and they can't stop anyone.
Strong will fire the DC soon to save his job, probably after OU hangs 70 on us. I wish they would go ahead and fire our defensive genius head coach and get Tom Herman before LSU does.
Total embarrassment today when refs had to explain to Strong he should decline a penalty. And when Strong punted on 4th down with 5 min left, it was obvious his motive was to make the final score look more respectable rather than try to do anything to win the game.
I'm also tired of seeing Strong yell at players and adult assistant coaches on national TV. Complete lack of class.

If he fires bedford it wont be his calll. He has been with him for years too long. Probably now after the stats are in, texas will have the worst defense- it was 100 something /150 schools before the game.

Bedford has to go! The sad thing is they have the talent on D but the coaching needs to change and needs to change NOW!

The last time we played defense Darrell Royal was the coach. It is embarrassing. If we believe we are back to a consistent top 5 program, we should think again.

I wouldn't take it that far and say the 2003-2007 defenses were bad they actually were the best D the team has had.

I hope Charlie can muster magic like last years Red River Rivalry. I had them going 7-5 this year and I think he will get there. Get into a shitty bowl game and win that and it will be progress. He will keep his job this year I believe if he gets us into a bowl game and has a winning record. I think 6-6 then lose the bowl game he's done.

I think you are wrong. Why should he want to stay if not many people want him? The buy out on his contract is 10 million.

The line on the game opened at 7 then went to 10.5 then 10 now its at 11. With the leading rusher out for several games it doesn't look promising.

He will have to finish the season 6-2 to be in the talks to keep his job.

In Chuckie's first game calling the defensive plays he gave up 672 yards. Had 4 turnovers and scored 3 points off those TOs. I wonder how this guy got a reputation as defensive guru. I read recently that Urban Meyer wanted to fire him at Florida.
Hiring Gilbert as OC shows how much change a coach can make in one year. Strong is out of scapegoats and out of excuses. Past time for him to go.

Great job defensively, thought they might score 60. I guess this was a moral victory.

He won 2 National Championships when he was DC at Florida. I'm sure that made Urban Meyer's wanted to fire. You have no idea what you are talking about. You need to get your facts straight before you start running off the mouth.

The first half offense looked like shit. Shane had no touch on the ball and he was trowing the ball at the WR feet so they couldn't get any YAC. When the Defense create 3 first half TO's and the offense only get 3 points off them it's not good. Texas should have went into half time with a double digit lead.

I'm looking for Texas to win 6 of 7 and finish 8-4. The rest of the teams left on their schedule don't have nearly as much talent as OU.

So you're ok with giving up 672 yards half way into our defensive genius's 3rd year. Especially considering Ok. took the air out of the ball in the 4th quarter. They could easily have had 800 yards. And we were playing a very subpar OU team to add further insult.

For texas to go 7-1 would be shy of a miracle and even if they do just to entertain your idea it doesn't mean that he gets to come back. It will make his record right at .500. There are so many big money donars that don't want his "we will get better" speech anymore and neither do many of the fans.

But if the higher ups already know he is going to get fired, why not fire him now and save the bs.
