Reviews automatically go into an approval queue for approval and assignment to the provider. In that queue, whatever mod is available at that time will assign them. There is no mechanism available to alert us as to whether or not there is a dispute going on at that time...it's a standalone process.

Even if there were, there is a separate protocol we have to follow for investigating possible fraudulent reviews. We have no idea what happened or what is true or not. We have no reason to believe you over him or vice versa. He says it happened in his review and you say it did not.

The fact of the matter is that any number of things could have happened. He could have put the wrong date, seen you (or Kristen) under a different name, maybe a record keeping error, maybe he's lying or mistaken about some or all of it, or maybe you're lying or mistaken. We have no clue.

This is just a message board with volunteer staff doing what we can. We will gladly investigate to the extent possible but the reality is that we have no ability to discern what did or did not happen. If we are not 100% sure, the policy on this site is to leave it as is and let member's decide for themselves what is true. You can avail yourself of a coed rebuttal thread which can be, and has been, linked to the review thread.

I realize it is frustrating when this happens but, as I said, try to look at it from the moderator's perspective.

You mods don't look at it from the prospective of the provider . This is our JOB and how we make money. This is all just fun and games to mods, but this is my livelihood... So no I don't think it makes sense to ignore fake reviews and just leave them. The lack of interest to remove a fake review that effects our business is baffling to me.
But that's beside the point.... The review is fake- he hasn't responded to any of my PMs to explain himself.

I see. So basically it is your position that moderators should take the provider's word for it and remove any review she claims is fake.

That's not going to happen. Once again, we have no ability to determine who is telling the truth when we have a "he said, she said".

I get it. You say it's fake. You may believe it is, hell you may know it for a fact. But to everyone else it's just one person saying one thing and another saying something different. I don't see what's so hard to grasp about that.

Sometimes information comes to light that tips the scales in one direction or another in which case we gladly take corrective action. If not, as I said before, we have no reason to believe you over him or vice versa.

Truth be told, the fact that it is your business actually introduces a vested interest in you controlling your "brand" and the information that's out there about you. Perfectly understandable, and I'm not saying that's occurring here, but it is true nonetheless. There are, and have been in the past, sites out there which gladly remove any disputed review. Those sites become a joke as they shift from information exchange to pure marketing hype over time. Nothing damages the credibility of a board more than censorship and removing member content.

It is precisely to alleviate any such concerns that Eccie has this objective and neutral party way of dealing with these scenarios. It is the position of this board that member content (male or female) be allowed to stand as posted unless very specific criteria apply. Unfortunately for you that means that occasionally some review you may know to be fraudulent is allowed to remain simply because we do not take your word over his.

If you cannot understand that then I suggest perhaps your subjectivity and myopic perspective are the issue. You have 322 reviews. I'm sure your reputation will survive.

Most of us already belive it is a fake review, most of us already understand Jayco is most likely Sargent Jay and his "co" is the vice squad and the "Coming soon" avatar is his idea of tongue in cheek humor. He made a review on someone he didn't expect to rebuke so he could maintain his premier access timer and keep surveillance going. You did. His best option. Stay silent. No worries. No suprises.
