Part of what differentiates me from someone that you get from a fifteen dollar haircut place is my level of customer service. Consultations ordinarily last an average of about seven minutes, where as in those places they may last one minute, if that. I'm finding out what you do professionally, where you're going to be, and how you would like to see yourself on top of the immediate results I will give you. I also don't make men feel like they have to grow into their haircut for a week or two, because I don't take off more than is necessary. I experienced better training in a private name-brand school and have worked in many facets of the industry. I've even won awards for my work. I'm naturally much more competent than a stylist at a place that chops your hair with a fifteen minute time constraint looming above their head. Those are real clock watchers. There is a definite reason why men are willing to pay me that much to get their hair done.

As you can see, there is an easy transition from cosmetology to provider.

There is, or was, a place in Vegas called A Little Off the Top...a topless men's hair salon. They did the haircut topless and sold a polariod to the guy w/ he and his topless stylist.
I always thought that was a GREAT business model.
