Question about cancelled appointment. What would you have done?

That works both ways .... lots of hobbyists (most?) .. schedule from work, take off work, clean up, pass on other opportunities, and show up (or on the way) and get cancelled or have the appointment time pushed off) ... I would say typically in the Houston metro area ... a 60 minute appointment takes an average of three hours for the hobbyist ... not counting .. the time to make the arrangements ...

... if a hooker's TIME is worth $300 ... so is mine.

Ya hear about it all the time, last minute cancellations. Big Lou is one of the few hobbyists I've heard mentioned but I'm sure that's just the tip of the iceberg, so to speak. Girls cancel all the time, I've heard stories of guys sitting in the parking lot waiting for the room number, and the girl cancels. When he mentions the NCNS, some fuck'tard will say that he saw her in that time slot.
Ladies that double book and cancel the lesser lucrative date, that's just about the rudest thing you can do IMO.
Maybe the foodie has a point, maybe OP does owe the provider something for canceling last minute... If she has a cancellation policy. Shoe on other foot? Providers paying for their cancellations? Dream On, that's just part of the fantasy they're selling...

I'm a fairly paranoid person too, it always annoys me when someone PMs or texts (especially if I have seen them before) and asks my rates or if I have any specials. My rates and almost everyone else's rates are in their showcase and or/on their website. I do account for the fact that if someone is texting me, they may not be in a location where they can look up the information. She did not mention services though, so I probably would have given her the benefit of the doubt. May someone shorted her recently & she wanted to be sure you knew before there was an issue.

From the time we set up the appointment to the time I cancelled was about 15 minutes max. I don't think I OWE her anything but IF I did see her again I may tip her or bring her s bottle of wine or something.

I think you overreacted, but I understand your concern. I'm super cautious when screening, if I feel ANYTHING is off I'll cancel the date. If while I'm screening I get bad intel from someone else I'll just no longer engage in convos.

At the end of the day, you have to do whats best for you. You may miss out on some amazing dates, but at least you'll know you're not behind bars because you failed to go with your gut.
