If someone is really intent on getting your RL info, there a couple of ways they could do it. I've never met you nor spoken to you nor know anything about your hobby biz practices.

He waits until you exit and watches you walk to your car. He copies your plate numbers. Gets on any number of websites open to the general public for a monthly fee and runs your plates. That gives him the name, address of the owner of the car, which then allows him to search for your DL number. From there, he can get on other websites that list property tax records and get your spouses name and other personal info. He can search the interwebs and find your Facebook account.

Very sorry this happened to you, but think through your incall setup. That is where your vulnerability regarding someone getting your personal info is most likely, but someone who made an appointment with you with the intent of getting your RL info. And, take down your FB page ... those things are a fucking treasure trove of info for someone who wants to create problems for you.

NOTE that most of this private RL information can be obtained from Government websites!

I received some weird random email eluding to drama with the O.P. & other people, yet unknown, truly to me.
Whoever it was decided to slap the name "Anna" on the senders label.
Now I am not accusing anyone, as again, it could be RANDOM, however my spidey senses say not so.
I am pretty sure she wants me to KNOW it is her, however, to what end?
Why would any of this drama matter to me?
TRUTHFULLY, IT DOES NOT.

What bothers me (and SCARES ME) is not just the potential for people to just fling around information,
but that it could end up being my own or one of my client's. I despise being the bearer of bad news, and a breach of confidentiality like that is nothing to toy with.

I know for a fact that the OP's name got flung, and as a recipient... I know someone is trying to victimize her (to clarify, this particular incident wasn't about "Anna"- and this information was not sent by "Anna"- however after I wrote in this thread sympathizing with the OP, I received emails containing emails trying to derail the OP's character, and claimed among other things, she can barely speak English, which is INDEED UNTRUE as I have spoken with her in length via phone. She speaks as well as you or I. So after that obvious pop-shot to her character, I knew it to be an act of aggression from a hostile person who is also untruthful. I chose to ignore any more from her/he/it... whatever.)
The only thing I see to do with a situation like this is to try & run damage control all the way around.
Let it be known; facts -what facts, but also let this drama die expediently.
I don't mind exposing fuckery when it lands in my inbox.
Let them keep sending, it will go straight into the filters....
