It's long gone Wiz. Steve Wynn tore it down and put Wynn and Encore in its place. The golf course is still there though.

Gemma, I assure you that I have no dog in any fight, as I have never seen either you or Kaylen, and never will. I just don't understand why you choose to, so often, come on here to disparage other ladies. It's just not very becoming. I believe that Kaylen originated this thread by stating that she was going to Vegas and asked for suggestions of things to see and do while there. I've seen many others make similar postings. Her other posts on the thread were all to thank those who offered their suggestions. Again, pretty innocent and drama free....until you chose to show your fangs. Now, I'm fully aware that Kaylen has, in the past, participated in her share of drama and confrontation on this board, but not in this instance. If you truly do not care what she does, why did you feel the need to post a smarmy comment? Quite honestly, it makes you seem very petty.

Kaylen, I would second the gentleman who offered the idea of hanging out at the Venetian. It's one of my favorites in Vegas and if you have time, do take a gondola ride; it's quite a lovely experience.

For Thai Food, you go to Lotus of Siam, one of the best and most highly rated Thai restaurants in the nation. It's off the strip. Go there... order off the Northern Thai menu, this isn't your average Pho shop. It's a must if you like good food. (I also like Tom COlicio's place at the MGM, but that's off topic.)

Downtown is the place to gamble, especially if you can generate comps and such, the Fremont strip is far more welcoming and lots more like Old Vegas than the new hyped up resort malls. I love Fremont. I generally stay on the Strip (good deal, great food) and then take the Deuce (the bus, $8 for a 24 hour pass) down to Fremont to gamble. You can find a $5 craps table down there regularly (the strip is more hit and miss) so you can quick entry on the pass line and still can play a ton on odds. That's the way to do. I can't speak for the other games, although I didn't find a 0/00 roulette wheel anywhere... so I didn't jump that way. There are also some interesting places to eat down in Fremont as well, so don't blow it off...

A buddy of mine has a Vegas blog (he's an addict, lol) so let me know if you need specific suggestions. I'm headed back in a month or so as well.

And FYI to Wizard... the Desert Inn doesn't exist anymore, it became Wynn Las Vegas and they imploded most of the old towers. [EDIT] OOOPS, I guess I was late on the draw on this one Sorry, lol

I was also in Vegas this past weekend - saw 3 Cirque performances - Ka was over the top awesome!
