And not to mention its a preference, just like some guys rather text or pm and not call.
Some of you guys seem to think your the only ones that are allowed to have preferences and thats not the case.
As I have said OVER and OVER again, if your driving to me you will already have my addy , all I ask is when you get there you text for room number or what have you. There are reasons that I do that for my safety.

What is a speakerphone for $300, please Alex.
Fair enough, shayla. That's your preference and that's your right.
Thank you for the feedback. I appreciate it and respect your decision on the matter.

The more I thinck about it, the more I thinck that I'm going to take SL's suggestion and add it to my list...
If a gal refuses to accept my call when I'm en route for a meeting with her, and I really need to talk to her, then fuck it, I'm canceling.*
I damned sure don't need the additional stress in my happy little world.
(*unless she's super hot, has big ol'boobs, or is really freaky BCD, then, perhaps not..heh!)

Point:text messaging while driving is dangerous and stupid.
What, did he not have your address?
And just out of curiosity, how exactly is text messaging any safer for you as a provider than conversing on the phone in an actual conversation?
Please. I am genuinely interested in hearing the reasoning behind this logic.

I never ever have said that anyone should drive and text at the same time. What is wrong with texting when you are parked, before you leave, or in a parking lot, or at a red light?
It is not bad TCB to prefer one style of communication over another. When I set an appointment, I always give specific location info before the other party sets out to meet. There is no mystery.
This thread was not about me, btw. I just think it is ridiculous to insist that someone answer the phone, when they may be busy or prefer to text.
Personally, It is much safer for me to use text. It doesn't make any noise (cannot bee overheard by a child, bystander in public, or a maid who may be outside in a hallway, or someone in a nearby room).
But, to each his own....
ps..I do answer if I already know you, and think you may have a question. But, generally, I just don't like to talk on phone. That's part of the beauty of a session--face to face communication.

I personally prefer a text when trying to set up a meeting, though I would prefer a text to see if I am available to talk. I prefer a quick, nice conversation over a written record of what I said being kept on someones else phone. That is far too easy for me to think I can get in big trouble that way.
I also detest texting and driving. If I am contacting you on the way to see you, it is because I need to ask you a question, probably I'm lost or confused on the directions...Please pick up the phone and talk for me for 2 minutes!

+1 Yep!
I guess it's the nature of the written word. People only read a small piece of whats written or base their reply on some ones else's reply. You can make the simple statement, "This flower is pink" and if the thread goes on long enough, someone will asked why you dissed her mother! LOL

what happened to screening? Didn't you screen the hobbyist? Lets use SKF as a handy example... he has been around since 2009 and has 27 reviews and I'm guessing might even have P411. Why in the wide world of sports do you need to HIDE your number from this guy? I mean your about to have your ass taped by the guy but your not sure if he can be trusted? Let's NOT forget that you can BLOCK your number. Seems pretty easy doesn't it? Personally I think "ALL" hobbyists should boycott "ALL" providers that won't talk on the phone even just for a minute to avoid complications. That's my rule and YES hobbyist can have rules too.

And there you have it, folks. Directly from the legendary ManWhore himself. I do agree with him & Loxly. I hate texting and driving. That is why I text when I'm on my way, and don't text again until I am sitting in her parking lot, or if I come to a stoplight. I refuse to have a wreck over a hot piece of a$$.
SL, I'm surprised you didn't post a texting script between you and that "squeezer."

Here's an idea- tell each other how you prefer to communicate and try to compromise! I just go with however the gentleman wants to communicate, once screened. You have to be somewhat flexible. Afterall, he is the client! I do like to hear the sound of a gentleman's voice before coming up to meet me. That's just my own little safety measure. Anyway, communication is a lost art. Communication in the hobby.... shit! People could do a whole stand up routine on just that alone!

Yeah...after yelling "NO ROOM TWO ZERO NINE...TWO ZERO NINE" twice in one day to more seasoned gents with hearing loss, then later listening my neighbors have a quiet conversation through the wall, I stopped being OK with calling. If I'm staying at hotels, I don't talk on the phone. (And I'm not staying at Studio 6 or some crap-hole). Doors opening and closing and sex noises are noticeable-ish, but phone ringing followed by a 20 second conversation, followed by door opening...sex...then two hours later, phone ringing...20 second conversation...door opening....sex. It makes me paranoid that I'm being obvious, and paranoid and jumpy are bad things to be when you're trying to get into sexy provider mode.
