I think upscale is the same for a provider as it is for a fine restaurant or a posh hotel. It is about the expectation of excellence. If you are considered upscale then no matter the price point a certain level of professionalism and service is to be expected. If you are advertising upscale then I am expecting to be treated as a valued client not just as a cash register with a dick!
As with restaurants and hotels, the decor (tats, piercings, etc.) do not matter near as much as the level of respect and service that are exhibited. Upscale is not the same to everyone but this is my definition. Peace out!
