One of the best live shows I have ever seen was Sammy Haggar. I have seen a lot of live shows.

Farvorite bands as far as talent. Led Zepplin, Judas Priest, Motley Crue, and Black Sabbath.

Best band of all-time = THE POGUES.

Greatest singer/songwriter of all-time = Bob Dylan and Shane MacGowan (it's a tie).

Greatest album of all-time = Red Roses for Me (The Pogues) and Blonde on Blonde (Dylan)- another tie.

Best concert - I saw Matisyahu at reggae fest in San Diego back in 06. Awesome concert.

Hmmm...I dunno, I think what band is my "ALL TIME FAVORITE" seriously depends on what point in my life you ask me. For example, I used to think Coldplay was god awful but after hearing "Paradise" off their newest CD I totally changed my mind about them and they are one of my fave bands now. I'm still not sure if they just stopped sucking so badly or if I got old enough to appreciate what they were trying to do.

Other bands I like a lot: The Doors, Soundgarden, Led Zepplin, The Beatles, The Cure and newer stuff like The Birthday Massacre and Blitzen Trapper.

What a fun thread. I am a lover of all kinds of music. My first concert was The Judds & Alison Krauss. The Best concert would have to be AC/DC my ears rang for days! My favorite album of all time is Alison Krauss bluegrass Now that I found you. It just lifts you from with in. Bad Company was another favorite. Kid Rock puts a kick ass concert on. Credence Clear Water was another favorite. Shoot I just love music that makes the soul sing.

Chuck E. Cheese's Pizza Time Players!

Best band EVER!

Especially their early work, before they became a success and sold out commercially.

Awww good post! I have a few favorite bands, though I do like all types of music! As for rock bands however, Journey is the greatest of all time. I also enjoy Aerosmith, Rush and a rock/alternative band called Rise Against. The greatest concert I went to however.. was Janet Jackson. Miss Jackson if you're nasty Velvet Rope Tour! #HOT

And now for something completely different...

My all-time favorite band was Herb Alpert & the Tijuana Brass (yeah, I'm old). Followed by:

The Beatles
Steely Dan
The Police
Frank Zappa
Chicago

Favorite concerts:

The Police at the South Meadows (1983)
Pat Metheny Group at Armadillo (1978)
Count Basie at Armadillo (1980)
Miles Davis at the Paramount (1983)
Chicago at James Moody (2011)
Herb Alpert in Dallas (1996)

I couldn't even pic a top 5 favorite bands. I love too many. I can say that The Kinks will always rank very high because they were my first concert at the ripe old age of 13 and really had a huge influence on me musically.

iTunes tells me I listen to AC/DC's Powerage more than any other album though, for almost 3 years running.
