One round of Botox for me is around $600, and the docs pay maybe $15 bucks for that.
I have also bartered for dental work, cosmetic surgery, and of course vehicles lol. I also know a few Chefs and Hotel Managers, which really do come in handy when touring. I even bartered for a case of tanning lotion once being the price was right. I got a six month supply at cost, for only one date.

It's just me, but I would risk my professional license for $10,000 much less $600. I don't care how much you say you'll keep it quiet. Bottom line is the escort industry is filled with people you can't trust. And if they feel like they've been screwed, they'll not hesitate to report your ass.
Doctors, dentists, attorneys are all prevented from having sexual relationships with their clients under penalty of losing their licenses.
Now, hotel folks and used car dealers (you trust them, right) are free to barter.

Well...it is no different if they see an escort and still have to provide full name and employment. I don't see the difference when one can still out them either way. At least with bartering he does not have all those -$400s out of his bank account lol.

London, it's not a matter of "outing." That's the least of their worries. All those professions have Codes of Ethics. One of the cardinal codes in each one is: you don't sleep with your client, or trade services with your client. Most of the professional organizations that discipline those in the profession are not hesitant to pull a license when this kind of conduct is found. Especially since it is tied to illegal conduct. At least in the cases I've seen.
Now, I'm sure it's a matter of how much risk the professional is willing to incur. If I were in his shoes, I wouldn't risk a lifetime of income against a few rolls in the hay.

I understand what you are saying. It doesn't matter what YOU would do or won't do. There are men out there willing to do it. I have bartered with one of those professionals before and it was all good while it lasted. Would I do it again? probably not.
What sense does it make bartering for something that I can easily buy with the money I make in an hour or two?

I DIMINISH MY CHANCES DRAMATICALLY, MAYBE NOT 100% FOOL PROOF PROBABLY 99% THOUGH PROTECTING MY MEDICAL LICENSE AT THE RISK OF ESCORTING, THAT IS WHY I SCREEN MY PROVIDERS A LOT HARDER THAN THEY SCREEN ME, VIA P411 BECAUSE IT BASED OUT OF CANADA AND CHECKING WITH AT LEAST 3 CLIENTS THEY'VE HAD SESSIONS WITH, PLUS THE CREATION OF ECCIE HAS MADE IT EVEN MORE DIFFICULT ESPECIALLY IF YOU COMMUNICATE IN CERTAIN CIRCLES AND HAVE GOOD WORKING RELATIONSHIPS WITH MODS. IF YOU'RE ARRESTED FOR A CRIME OF MORAL TURPITUDE, THE STATE WILL YANK YOUR LICENSE, WITHOUT HESITATION.

Your'e missing the point. His rep and job are still in harm's way if he is even caught being with an escort....bartering for services is the last thing that is going to be outed in that equation. He is not giving you a C2 Narcotic where a DEA number is associated with it. You can't prove that service was done, but you CAN trace back the trail of money he paid in cash.

I have been running some specials but they are about to end. When I moved I felt that running specials would help me create some new business for myself, and it has worked. I do fear that some of my clients have become accustomed to the special rate. When it comes down to it, I don't think I have too many worries about moving them to my normal, reasonable rates. It will all work out for several reasons.
I do like the suggestions to lengthen the session time and forget cutting the rate for future specials. Great idea.

Ah, but you're missing the point. If he has no professional relationship with you (i.e. lawyer/client, doc/patient) then whether or not he sees an escort is NOT ruled by the Ethics Code. It only comes into play when that professional relationship exists. And that is when the license is placed in jeopardy. And believe me, you cannot avoid the professional relationship just because you are bartering. If he is performing legal services or medical services for you, then the professional relationship exists.
He can provide his services pro bono. Not only is that allowed, but in some instances, it is encouraged. He can barter, too. But not for sexual services. That is a clear violation. See DEVIN0131968's post above.

Who cares if it is right, ethical, or wrong... The person that decides to barter with a provider knows full well what they are doing. It's their choice to make.

Does anybody realize where you are debating the moral and ethical standards of professional men and women in all walks of life??? Let's lighten up a little here and get back to the real question...Sorry to be so serious....it's not my nature....
