There are a few other things they teach you in Journalism 101. At the top of the list is don't make things up to enhance your story, or your position.

Dan Rather and Peter Arnett are the journalistic models most modern Kool Aid dispensing MSM journalists most want to imitate. For example, that bunch at NBC who were caught distorting the news during the Zimmerman case.
